he stood in front of the ceiling to floor window that he's dying to visit for weeks since the unpleasant news he got from jeno.

jeno gave lucas the information, the truth he needs just the right time when he was talking with seolhyun in his office.

lucas' phone never stopped ringing since the day where lucas walked out from that house and haven't came back for five days.

he took xiyeon with him and fell asleep as soon as his parents open their apartment door.

seolhyun didn't know where lucas went, but left a word for the maids to not tell anything to seolhyun if she'd ask. but seolhyun knew lucas, she would figured out where they went the morning she realize that both lucas and xiyeon isn't around the house.

it breaks his heart that turns out xiyeon was sicheng's daughter. it breaks his heart that the person he trust the most in this world beside his own parents betrayed him.

it wasn't about seolhyun, lucas never cared, the only thing he cares about was xiyeon. the fact now that he knew about the truth, that doesn't change how he felt about xiyeon, doesn't change how he wanted to treat xiyeon like his own child.

lucas wasn't ready to tell his parents the truth, he just told his parents that he and seolhyun got into a big fight and the only thing he wanted right now was to go out with xiyeon until everything went back to normal.

but mother's instinct never wrong. lucas' mother knew that lucas wasn't telling the truth and as bad as lucas wanted to tell everything and blame his brother for everything, he just can't let his family went to a cliff just because of this.

"i'm fine mother, it's just usual fight with seolhyun." he said, as his mother pass him a mug of chinese tea that his mother usually gave him whenever he feels down and gloomy.

his mother sigh, following her son's eyes towards the night scenery of seoul city.

it was crowded, people are on their way back home after a long day at work and now it's time for them to loose all the tense muscles and meet their bed.

"yuk-hei," his mother called, taking her son attention, "i'm your mother and i know when there's something wrong and you won't tell."

lucas took a deep breath before letting it all out, his mother closed her eyes, hearing how heavy this problem might be just by hearing his sigh.

"i never wanted this marriage, i never wanted to marry seolhyun, mother," he started, "and the child.. xiyeon.."

tears starts to welling up on lucas' eyes, his breaths starts to shake and in seconds, his body becomes trembling.

"xiyeon is not my child, mother." the words just make lucas broke down even more. it's heavy to even accept it and spoke to his mother.

his mother didn't say anything and pull her son into her embrace, giving him an ensuring pat and gave him some calming words.

lucas told his mother everything he can and try to look strong, but his mother realize how fragile lucas was. she never see him looking so broken and disappointed in his life before.

he always good hiding his own feelings, how he really felt and not wanting people to see his weak side. he always had the image of a good, kind and strict leader.

and being a "father" he is now, he wanted to show xiyeon the true father figure he is. he always do good to other people, even to the other employee. he never showed how stressed he is when the company have some trouble.

but today, lucas can't take it no more. he always blamed himself for everything that never went his ways.

the day ended with his mother told lucas that she will talk to sicheng about this situation and will tell sicheng to talk to lucas about it and how will this situation cleared up in a family way.

"thankyou mother," lucas said and give his mother a loving hug before went inside the bedroom where xiyeon was still sound asleep.

lucas woke up with a little bit of headache thanks to his phone that won't stop ringing and he put it into silent anyways. he looked to his side and didn't found xiyeon in bed but heard her laughter from outside and decided it's time to wake up and start another day like usual.

his foot touches the carpeted floor and starts to do some small excersice like he usually do before he freshen up himself.

and as soon as he's done, he's just feet away from the door but stopped midway when his attention suddenly went to his phone, the screen meets the night stand because avoiding to see who's invading his dreams.

he thought that it might be great to take shower first but his hands can't help but wanting to look at the notification he had in his phone.

just when he was about to get his phone, his mother went inside the bedroom.

"honey, you have guest waiting for you." his mother said through the opened door. lucas frown, this early morning and he already have guest? not to mention that he's in his parents apartment and not to mention other than his parents knew about where he is, his maid knew but clearly knew how lucas wanted to keep it a secret.

lucas then nodded his head, "let me freshen up."

if its one of his clients or employee, the won't be meeting him here and if it's seolhyun, she would have barge inside the bedroom and not minding if lucas wasn't in his shirt or naked.

she would love that.

talking about seolhyun, she should be asking the maids by now to where her loved ones are to the maids.

twenty minutes have passed and lucas was out from the shower, fresh from the oven.

he took his phone, still not looking at the notifications and went to the living room to where his guest is waiting for him.

a smirk appears on his face when he saw a familiar back side, blonde hair and broad shoulders. he went to his side to give him a pat on the shoulder before walk past him to sit in front of him.

lucas took his attention from his phone and notice a black bag sitting next to him, the bag that lucas always knew that he brought something to lucas and might be or might be not a good news for him.

"lee jeno," he called, as he sat down and cross his legs on top of the other, "i think i don't let my maids tell anyone where i am."

jeno chuckled, placing his phone beside him before shaking his head, "your foot print told me where you were."

lucas chuckled, he always liked jeno. there's always something about jeno's work that always amaze lucas. he might be young, but his knowledge about everything is more than lucas.

"i might have a good and bad news for you." jeno said, taking the black bag from his side and took out a brown envelope.

lucas frown, "what's that?"

"i found the girl you've been looking for," jeno started and made lucas widen his eyes, "she lives not far from mine and my brother and always drink coffee that my brother makes."

jeno gave lucas the photo of baram laughing and drinking some coffee in jeno's coffee shop. lucas couldn't believe his eyes, baram is just kilometers away from him.

"i followed her for days before i came here and gather every information i can," he continued before giving lucas the two last photos, "she lives here, and apparently she's been living with this guy."

lucas eyes went wide, brows furrowed as he heard the last sentence jeno had said. but then he remembered that baram has a younger brother and chuckled, "i don't you completely check about baram, she has a--"

"his name is johnny," jeno cut off, placing the last photo off johnny into lucas' view that made his grumble in his seat, "he's the guy that lives together with baram."

"give me the fucking address."
