after the talk, seolhyun came in and met sicheng on his way out. lucas can see the tension that seolhyun give as she passes sicheng before giving lucas a soft smile and and kiss on the cheeks.

lucas didn't love her, but the fact that she made up her pregnancy that wasn't his all this time hurts him. if seolhyun could just tell him the truth, he would have understand.

being a father is his dream, seolhyun knew about that. he wanted to have child of his own and wanted to treat his child like how his parents took care of him and his brother.

lucas knew his relationship with seolhyun wasn't that very good before they got married--and it was an arrange marriage anyway, lucas have no idea who seolhyun slept with before.

but now he knew the person who slept with seolhyun before they're married.

lee taeyong.

the person he trusted the most with anything. mostly with work and lucas' own personal things that no one knew about.

lucas knew taeyong as long as he can remember and never thought he would end up being the father of the child that he loved with all his life and would do anything for xiyeon.

he didn't feel any hate towards taeyong, it just he felt disappointed at him.

why both seolhyun and taeyong didn't say anything about the relationship that happening between the two of them.

sometimes, knowing the truth hurts. lucas prefer to not know but he knew that sicheng cared about his own brother and wouldn't want to make him hurt.

lucas knew sicheng would always want lucas to be happy even though it have to take the rouge ways, bumps and curves and lucas also knew, getting a happy will never be easy, he have to take some challenges before he have his happiness.

"what is sicheng doing here?" she asks after giving the peck on the cheek.

lucas sat still on the edge of his desk, his eyes never leaving seolhyun who didn't look that there's nothing to talk about.

sometimes lucas wonder, what seolhyun thinking right now, what's inside her head.

does she ever feel sorry keeping something big from lucas?

"have you ever think about telling me the truth?" lucas asks, didn't replying seolhyun previous question.

seolhyun rolled her eyes along with a sigh leaving her lips, "again? lucas i don't know--"

her words were cut off as lucas stood up from the edge of the desk, going around it before pressing one button, "my office, now."

with that he straighten his back. seolhyun have no idea who he just called but from the look of her face, lucas knew that shit is about to go down.

not long after the intense stare between lucas and seolhyun, lucas' office door opens and taeyong walked in before stopping midway when he saw seolhyun is also inside.

they both exchange looks before taeyong continue his walk and stood right next to seolhyun.

"w-what is this about lu?" taeyong asks, nervous was written all over his face.

"both of you tell me," lucas start, placing both of his palms against the desk, eyes landing on the papers on top of his desk, "did something happen between the two of you before my marriage?"

the room suddenly felt stiff, awkward and as much as lucas wanted to escape soon, he need to make everything clear first.

the two "suspect" exchange glances but not answering the question. lucas tried so hard to ask them nicely, just like what sicheng had told him to, but as much as he love to hold it back by gritting his teeth, he cannot hold back his temper.

bang!

lucas hit the desk with his both hands that turns into fist, making the two latter in front of him jump on their feet and eyes focusing on lucas.

"are you xiyeon's father--"

"it was someone else lucas!" seolhyun interrupt, taking a step forward, "i was with someone else that night--not... taeyong."

"kim seolhyun!" taeyong looked over to seolhyun with a question face.

"all i need is answers! i don't need to be played! all i want now is the truth!" he yelled before connecting his eyes with taeyong, "who the hell is telling the truth?!"

"i told you it was someone else wong yuk-hei!"

"don't you dare call my full name when all you did is lie and make me look like a fool!" lucas cannot hold his anger, he cannot help to stop the tears as it rolls down his cheeks.

"it was me lucas," taeyong said softly, "xi-xiyeon is my daugther."

"if you asked how did that happen, well.. the both of us felt lonely and at that time, seolhyun was still nothing to you," taeyong explained, "we meet up quite some time and it just happen so sudden--i wanted to told you long time ago, before seolhyun even gave birth."

"i knew xiyeon is my child be-because i did some dna test too, after you told me that seolhyun gave birth of someone's else child."

the room went quiet for a couple minutes. the tears rolling down his cheeks didn't stop. lucas always shows his strong and never his weak side, because as the boss, as the leader of a large company, he never wanted to show his weak side even with the closest person around him.

"i want to see it," lucas spoke, "the dna test you take."

taeyong gulp the lump on his throat, the expression of panick re-appearing on his face before exchanging looks with seolhyun who have no idea what to answer.

"i... i already throw it out." taeyong replied.

lucas gritted his teeth, trying to ease down his anger and then his breaths becomes steadier after a good minute before he turns around, facing the roof to floor window.

"get out," he said, "the two of you get out and never see me unless it's important."

"donghyuck, can you booked me a hotel for a week?" lucas said as he push one of the buttons on his telephone desk.

"sure sir, where would you like to stay?"

"anywhere is fine--but if you can find the farthest hotel from this office, that would be nice."

"alright sir--oh, mr. wong, your wife and daughter are here, should i let them in?"

lucas wanted to dig a hole and buried himself in it and will never get out.

not even spare one hour, seolhyun had comeback to this office with xiyeon tagging along. lucas wanted to call the security but xiyeon is there, even though she wasn't from his blood and flesh, he still love her with all his heart.

a groan left his lips as he closed his eyes and leans back against the chair.

"send them in."

lucas stood up from his chair before not a second later, his office door opens and xiyeon walk in with a smile on her face while pushing the door open with the help from seolhyun.

"papa!"

the smile on xiyeon's face radiates to his and lucas opens his arms to catch his daughter that running towards him and carried him on his arms.

"how is my xiyeon? did you have fun with your friends?" lucas asks before kissing her both cheeks over and over again.

xiyeon nodded her head before circling her short arms around lucas' neck.

"papa, xiyeon want's to eat dinner with papa and mama!" she exclaimed, looking over to seolhyun that is still standing at the door.

lucas froze for a second before looking over to seolhyun who finally approach lucas and xiyeon.

"let's eat dinner outside at the mall," seolhyun said, making a small circle and caress lucas back, "as a family."
