"that's all for today." lucas said as he stood up from the chair inside the meeting room.

he walk out from the meeting room with his hands inside his pocket as he made his way back towards his office.

today he felt really tired. he can't focus on anything and even the meeting seems end so fast, he didn't know what taeyong was talking about but he probably knew that it was about the opening of a new headquarters.

lucas find it hard for wanting to have a serious talk with seolhyun. she always says something useless, changing the subject and says she can't have a chat because something more important is up.

he have to end up yelling at her for not always giving him a time to talk. he wanted to talk about xiyeon, who her real father is.

the test was out, the results of lucas and xiyeon. both of them are not related and for the second timeucas felt hurt.

thank god xiyeon is with lucas' parents the day that lucas had to yell at seolhyun. he didn't want xiyeon to hear or see his bad side.

he thought that he found his happiness aside from baram. he thought having a daugther would be a pain reliever but it hurts him even more.

lucas cannot endure pain anymore. he wanted to find real happiness.

"hey lu, i'm heading out for lunch, want to come?" taeyong peeked after knocing lucas' office door and found the younger man messagging his forehead.

taeyong walked in, hands inside his trousers pocket before stopping inches away from lucas' desk.

"you okay buddy?" he asks with a concern face written all over taeyong's face. lucas let out a sigh before shaking his head.

"i never been so stressed in my entire life." he replied, resting both of his elbows on top of his wooden desk, both palms cover his mouth while a long tired sigh left his lips.

"is this about baram again?"

"no. it wasn't," lucas replied, cracking his head to let out the stiffness, "i'm still wondering who's the father of the child i'm living with."

"seolhyun haven't notice the dna results, i don't know how to tell her and ask because i knew she won't tell the truth."

taeyong took a seat before crossing his leg to the other, "if you knew that she won't tell the trutt, why bother marrying her?"

"parents." lucas shortly replied before letting out another sigh for only god know how many times.

"his dad is one of the influencer to this company and parents want it to always be like that and tada, marriage."

"well--"

before taeyong could even finish his sentence, seolhyun walked in but stopped midways, earning both of the male attention and somehow, lucas catch a shocking expression coming from taeyong and also seolhyun.

they look tense.

"w-what a perfect timing, i brought extra lunch for mr. lee." seolhyun said, wiggling the tupperwear bag on the air before continue to walk towards lucas' table after closing the door.

"n-no, i think i--"

"taeyong, join us," lucas said as he cleans the top of his desk, "there's something i wanted to talk about too."

"about what?" taeyong asks as he seated next to seolhyun.

"work," lucas replied, "what else?"

the lunch seems weird. lucas cannot hide the fact that there's something off between seolhyun and taeyong. both of them can't stop exchanging glances from one another.

lucas thought it was just because they barely knew each other that's why stealing glances every one minute or two.

lucas didn't know what happened between the two of them, being werid towards one another but didn't want to ask either because too much going on in his mind already and he didn't want to add another problem.

an hour later the lunch had over.

taeyong went back to his desk and seolhyun was still there, in lucas' office. saying that she'll be waiting for him until he's finished to pick xiyeon up at lucas' parents hotel.

"are you alright?" seolhyun asks, finally someone notice that the boss isn't concerraiting in his work.

lucas was hesitating. seolhyun wasn't the best person to have a deep talk with but she's he's wife afterall, might as well know what's going on inside his gorgeous head.

"i've been thinking a lot and took me a while to realize about something." lucas said, both arms are crossed in front of his chest as his back leans against the leather chair.

"what's that something?"

lucas took a deep breath before letting it all out, his eyes going around the room before landing onto the lady that was seated in front of his desk.

"xiyeon."

"what about her?" seolhyun shrug, lucas notice a little bit of tension on seolhyun.

lucas debating himself, should he ask or not in here in his office while they both are the only one inside. but yet again, lucas wouldn't want make a scene when seolhyun walked out from his office with tears dripping down her cheeks.

lucas reputation had almost crash back then. rumors about him had spread about having an affair with one of the employee and it sent his mother on fire.

he don't want that to happen again and from what happend, lucas knew he have to be careful to what he will do.

every eyes are on him, every big company's leades are waiting for him to fall into pieces.

now would be the best time to talk about what he wanted to talk about for the past weeks, but his right mind told him maybe on the ride towards his parent's hotel would be a great time to talk.

"how much i love her and i would give anything she want." lucas said after a good one minute of silence and lucas notice how seolhyun's face becomes relax.

seolhyun let out a chuckle, "you are really good at spoiling people, especially your daughter."

your daughter? is she really my daughter, kim seolhyun?
