five years has already passed, memories still latched and vivid yet their lives has gone back to normal--some of them.
lucas had hired too many man to find where baram have left but there's nothing change and no progress at all. everything seems to...
baram couldn't get her breath steady. she thought she could pass this day normal, like she used to now.
but when she arrived home after buying some stuff for breakfast, her body froze when she saw a familiar figure waiting for her inside the living.
johnny did mention that the guest came here to get things straight between the two of them but at that time, baram thought it was somebody else. lucas lived far from where she is right now and wondering where the hell did lucas got her address from.
"please, don't leave me." lucas told her as he grab her hands when she's about to walk away again.
"you know how seolhyun hated you the day where she knew i realize i should've been with you not her," lucas continue, explaining to why it all began with lucas being mean to baram "she always force me to be with her every day, trying so hard to remove you from my heart, she knew she can't. she used me because she knew how heads over heels i am for you and that's why she always point gun at me."
"and what happened that day, i really am sorry baram, i never--ever in my life would want that to happen to you and just seeing you walk away from my office--my life makes my heart crumble into million pieces."
baram stared into his teary eyes. it looked sincere, it looks like he will die if baram didn't give her another chance. baram felt warm, his hands around her felt right when baram knew how she hated when his hands went near her.
maybe she needed to open up again, not to hate people because of the past and try to accept things for a better future.
the voices inside her head told her not to giveucas another chance, but the voice in her heart told her to start brand new.
baram shook her head, "how am i suppose to know what you said won't make another broken trust?"
baram shrug herself, freeing herself from lucas' grip and gulp back the lump on her throat before stared back at lucas who won't cut the eye contact and then she took a deep breath.
"don't you know how that tragedy ruined and really change my life after it happes?" baram asks, tears keep on rolling down her eyes, "i can't walk with my head hung up and i can't walk around without being scared if anyone will notice who am i!"
"i can't stop thinking what if guys knew who i am and will attack me when i get home! i'm so scared that i can't even make friends when i'm not here!"
"let me protect you baram, let this be a way for me to earn you forgiveness and trust again." lucas said, "can't you hear how broken i am?"
baram don't want to believe what he said, but for some reason she saw how broken and devastated he is from his eyes. his bags are there, first time that baram ever see how maybe he rarely sleeps.
she cannot lie to herself that lucas always cross her mind and always there in her head every morning she woke up and how maybe she misses him around her.
it's been years since the last time she saw him and little did she know she already forgotten what happen back then.
"i need to think about it, lucas." baram said and lucas let out a relieving sigh as he nodded his head.
"please do, all i need to know is you say yes to me," lucas reply, "and we can start over again." a small smile appears on lucas' face before he pull baram close to him.
her ear pressed against his chest and heard how fast yet calming the sound of his heart beating. a small smile appears on her face before she patted his back.
she didn't care if anyone sees her hugging someone in the morning and in the middle of the crowdest place near her neighborhood and didn't care if they saw her crying.
all she care right now is how her heart felt ease when lucas hugged her.

"let's have dinner, tonight." lucas said as the both of them walk back towards baram's house.
baram pursed her lips as she buried her hands inside her coat pocket then nod, "okay."
"i'll pick you up at eight and text you when i'm on my way." he said as the both of them stopped in front of baram's house gate and lucas gave baram a peck on the forehead before they bid their goobyes as lucas went back to his car with a wide smile as he wave.

another smile plastered on her face as she saw the car drove off and gone from her eyesight.
a sigh left her lips, still thinking that what she decided is good or not for her. she do not want to live with any problems, leaving someone with burden.
she never wanted to live in a life where she's a burden or left something hurtful to someone.
"i don't like that guy." baram turn around to see johnny crossing his arms behind her while staring at the shadow which the car was earlier before staring down at baram.
there's still a part of baram that hated lucas, but seeing him earlier makes all of her thoughts go away and she cannot even think straight.
"some people willing to do anything to make a new start johnny and i'm kind of tired living like a person who commit a crime, i'm tired of hiding like if he finds me he going to kill me." baram explain as they walk inside the house.
"are you sure you want to start over with him?" johnny asks and for some reason, baram are fighting the second thoughts in her head. she wasn't sure if the words that coming from her mouth is what she really wanted or those words just left her mouth because she misses lucas.
"don't make me think about it again johnny," baram said, "don't make me think about hating you for telling me what's good for me like you know me." baram left, leaving johnny stunned by her words.
