baram felt guilty pointing to where si-cheng and seolhyun were. she don't want to give lucas trouble but it's too late to turn around when her lips already spoken about the two figure walking on the sidewalk.

baram saw tears pilling up on his eyes, his grip on the steering wheel tighten as his eyes won't drifted from where baram had pointed at.

when the light turns green, lucas turn around and stopped just feet away from them. he didn't bother to turn off the engine and just stomp his feet towards the two, leaving baram inside the car like the only thing that matters right now was seolhyun.

baram can see the anger in lucas' eyes and the way he grip the steering wheel.

but something doesn't make sense. lucas told her how he really feels, but why did he acted like he still in want seolhyun? judging from the way he acted right now.

baram doubted that she'll make everything worse if she step out of the car since seolhyun was there, but she cannot take the scene where lucas, seolhyun and si-cheng are yelling at each other like no one was watching.

"can you guys stop it?" baram yelled after standing behind lucas who's about to throw punches at si-cheng.

seolhyun stared at her disbelief and rolled her eyes at baram. "if i can't have a chat with your brother, why can you talk or even see this porn star!"

"language kim seolhyun!" lucas yelled and soon enough baram heard a cry, she look down to where seolhyun and si-cheng was standing and widen her eyes when she saw a little girl or to be precise, xiyeon.

"if you're so mad about me taking a walk with your own brother why can't i be mad at you?!" seolhyun yelled, giving baram a sharp glare.

"this isn't about taking a walk with my brother," lucas spoke between gritted teeth before landing his eyes on his brother who kept his fist clenched tight, "this is about how will you both tell me that xiyeon isn't my daughter!"

baram widen her eyes. she felt like someone had choke her and make her hard to breath.

baram's eyes landed on seolhyun who seem can't her thought straight. baram can see how trembling she is, her eyes looked everywhere but not to where lucas and si-cheng are.

she hoped that what she heard was right. not long ago lucas just showed him pictures and videos about xiyeon and tell baram everything about xiyeon and told her how much he loved her.

baram do hear some pain tone lingering in his voice as he told her so, but she didn't think about xiyeon wasn't lucas biological father.

"wong yuk-hei!" si-cheng yelled, gripping lucas' hard by the collar, "don't be ridiculous!"

"si-cheng!" baram yelled when si-cheng throw the first punch and let lucas land square on the concrete. lucas smirk before standing up.

baram can see the visible cut on the corner of lucas lips.

"why gege?" lucas asks with a smirk plastered on his face, "surprised to hear that i know both of your dirty secrets?"

lucas charger towards si-cheng and throw back a punch, earning a grunt from his older brother.

both of them gave each other punches. if baram didn't step it, one of them or the two of them would've died.

as bad as she don't want to meddle their family matter, baram had to no matter what.

the three of them keep on bickering on each other, no one wanted to gave in and continue this where no one was watching them three like a maniac.

"please, this is not the place for you guys to yell at each other," baram said, stepping into the small circle that lucas and his brother had made, separating them from each other before everything could get worse, "and beside, all you have reputation to keep."

as baram spoke, the three of them scanned around them to find people around them had taken their phone out to record the situation.

without any more words, lucas pick xiyeon from where she was standing and went into the car. didn't responding to seolhyun who yelled his name multiple times and causing xiyeon to cry even more.

baram run after lucas as he went inside the car and took xiyeon from lucas' arms so she can sit on her lap as he drove off somewhere that baram think that she's been to this road before.

lucas park his car in an apartment complex and baram knew who's apartment was.

she's been here before, that time where she still work for lucas. this was lucas' parents apartment complex.

baram didn't ask why lucas brought them here since the ride from where they were to his parents apartment was silent, the only thing that makes her company was xiyeon.

she can't hide the feeling of wanting to comfort lucas. she saw how hard he clench his jaw and clench the steering wheel all the way, to prevent himself from crying.

she broke the stare from lucas and stare down at the kid.

she was beautiful from up close. her fair skin really look like a snow, her thick brown hair and how her lashes are longer than baram when she was her age,

and the more she look and stare at xiyeon, the more she realize how resembling xiyeon is to si-cheng.

baram is still trying to absorb everything that just happen. she never knew lucas would go through something like this.

xiyeon could be his source of happiness.

baram felt like something or someone had make her hard to breath as tears welling up her eyes also making her hard to see.

she never felt this way before, especially towards lucas.

both of them step out from lucas' car as the engine had killed off. xiyeon is already sleeping soundly on baram's arms as they make their way inside the elevator.

there's still no words exchange towards each other and just let the silence cover them until they're arrive at the floor where lucas' parents unit was.

baram thought that this night would end normal and now maybe she had to admit what jungwoo said was right, she won't have normal life when lucas was in it.

the voices in her head told her to leave but the voices in her heart told her to stay. there would no other person could understand him than her.

her eyes stared at lucas broad back and wonder what will happen if she stay and what will happen if she leaves.

can't i just have a normal life for once?
