"i have the dna test back at home, seolhyun didn't know about the test results," a airy laugh then left lucas' lips before shaking his head, "we haven't even talked about this yet, i will never know if i ever had the chance to ask or given an explanation."

lucas told the whole story, but his main concern were xiyeon. he never wanted this to happen and never wanted to be apart with xiyeon because all he had left here in korea was her, before his parents went back to china.

"if there's anything we could do sweetheart," his mother said, caressing his back slowly, "please let us know."

lucas nodded his head, "of course i will mother."

lucas eyes then land on his bigger brother who had been silent since he arrived without being noticed.

sicheng just came back from his friend's bachelorete party and that's why he's late coming to his parents hotel. seeing him being so quiet makes lucas questioned himself, how long it is since the last time he saw his brother that it seems so weird to see him all quiet.

lucas went to the kitchen, to where sicheng is and gave a small squeeze on the shoulder, making the older latter jump on his feet a litte.

"s-so, xiyeon," sicheng started, "h-how long did you know she's not your daughter?"

a long sigh left lucas' lips after drinking the mineral water, "probably more than three weeks? haven't really count it yet."

"how do you feel then?" sicheng asks, avoiding eye contact with lucas as he speak, playing with his fingers.

"i don't know how to feel," lucas replied, "i'm happy that i have someone else to give my responsible but at the same time, i'm sad that i knew she wasn't my blood and flesh."

"have you talked with seolhyun yet?"

lucas shook his head, "i tried, but she keeps avoiding the question or us ending up yelling at each other."

"if seolhyun just be honest with me from the start, i wouldn't mind," lucas continued, "no matter what i have to find xiyeon's biological father so i could relax a bit, too many problems are starting when baram problem haven't finished yet."

"without seolhyun's help, information or confession, that doesn't stop me for searching about xiyeon's biological father--i might need jeno and his crew again."

sicheng gave him a short smile, still playing with his fingers before looking up to his younger brother that has furrowed brows.

"yuk-hei.." he called, earning lucas' attention, "i've been wanting to tell you something for a long time, but i never get the courage or the chance to tell you about it."

lucas' brows raised, his body have turned to his brother and all of his attention.

he saw sicheng have a hard time to speak, he keeps a avoiding eye contact and seems can't get his shit together.

"seolhyun and--"

"papa!"

before sichen could even speak, xiyeon walkin inside the kitchen. the kicthen island was so tall that only her pony tails were seen.

xiyeon hugged lucas' long legs, her head crane upwards to face his tall father.

a wide smile appears on lucas' face when he saw his little girl and kneel down to match her eye level, couldn't help to play with her dumpling cheeks.

"did my princess have a nice afternoon sleep?" lucas asks and carried xiyeon up into his arms.

xiyeon nodded her head, hugging her father's neck and buried her face between his neck.

"i did! nǎinai and yèyè tuck me into bed by telling me stories!" she cutely replied with a smile that radiates to both lucas and sicheng.

"and did xiyeon behave while you spend your day with them?" he asks and xiyeon nodded her head.

"i have a great time!"

lucas give xiyeon a smile before turning to his brother who still stood silent beside him.

"what do you want to say gègè?"

sicheng is fast enough to shook his head and gave lucas a smile, "another time didi, xiyeon still look sleepy."

lucas didn't ask or say anything else and nodded his head, when he realize how quiet xiyeon was in his arms, her head placed on his shoulder and arms around his neck.

he bid his goodbyes with his parents and sicheng before leaving the hotel, car is already parked in front of the lobby driveway as the employees bowed down to sicheng as he exited the hotel.

"thanks." he said after placing xiyeon on the bany seat at the back and buckle himself on the driver seat. he didn't forget to check his phone and another long sigh left his lips when he sees nothing.

seolhyun didn't tell him where she is right now and only left his message on read.

talking to her is more harder than thinking about where baram was before. now lucas regreted getting deeper to know if xiyeon is his child or not because of how it turned him into.

lucas threw his phone to the seat beside him before storming off back to his house with another disappointment.

"tuck her in carefuly please, thankyou." he said to one of xiyeon's babysitter as she took xiyeon from his arms and went up stairs to her own room.

he decided to hire two babysitters to look after xiyeon because lucas will be busy these month and god only knows what seolhyun is busy with.

walking inside the house, lucas felt different. the aura inside felt so different that he find it uncomfortable.

his head scanned around the room but found nothing. only his breath and heart that can be heard. that's why he found something was off.

soon enough he walk towards the kitchen, taking off his blazer and also his neck tie. he slowly rolls up his sleeves and opening two buttons of his dress shirt before opening the fridge to get something fresh to drink.

"i know! just stay low for a little while!"

"how the hell am i suppose to stay low?!"

lucas furrowed his brows. his drink were long forgotten when he heard faint noises from the backyard. he knew he have a small gazeebo at the back but barely use it.

the voice seems familiar and it makes him more curious. he approach the door that leads to the backyard and saw seolhyun talking with taeyong.

his frown gets deeper. they both barely know each other.

"what are you two doing?"
