This was their chance to capture Optimus Prime, not stop him, as Attinger told Joyce. It was up to the KSI founder and his Transformers to stop Prime, but because Galvatron had not yet been tested in the field, i.e. on public grounds or streets, but only in laboratories or military bases, Joyce was very critical of this and rejected this approach.

Too bad that Attinger was from the CIA and simply made it a CIA military operation, since a government-related facility had just become the target of a terrorist attack. Here it was again, the free ride. Time for the counterattack, for which Brady's boss took responsibility. Joyce was no longer in a position to say no, but gave his people the order to set up all operational transformers. There was no mention of want here.

"KSI Chicago, establish satellite link," it could happen so quickly that Joyce lost control and Attinger took over, "There's been an Autobot attack."

"Activate Galvatron," Joyce instructed, causing a second man to give the order to transform Galvatron, "Let's show the alien terrorists what an upgrade looks like."

To Galvatron was sent off a second vehicle called Stinger, which was the upgraded and better version of Bumblebee, and had previously been an exhibit for visitors to marvel at.

"Please don't be a Decepticon, please don't be a Decepticon," Brady muttered, looking from the monitor to the man who told them the Reapers had five targets in their sights and the perimeter was clear, "To a Robo Death Match."

Approaching rather quickly were Galvatron and Stinger, the five Transformers who had invaded KSI a few minutes ago and nearly dismantled the company. In a moment, the moment of truth would come. How good were Joyce's Transformers really?

Three kilometers, then it would become clear. At two hundred meters, a man gave the order to attack and Galvatron's transformation began, destroying some vehicles.

"The orders are coming from us, aren't they?" inquired Joyce, because what he was seeing seemed a little wrong.

"Yes," replied the man piloting Galvatron, "Largely."

Funny. It almost sounded like Galvatron had a mind of its own. Rebellion of the Machines.

System apparently malfunctioning, another man announced, causing Brady to let out a hoarse laugh and clasp his hand to his forehead. It couldn't be true. Why would anyone try to build their own Transformers out of a Decepticon? And then from their leader, of all things. In recent years, there had been one or two Autobots that the Cemetery Wind Team delivered to KSI. Why not use their code? But no, it had to be Megatron? His coding, no other.

As soon as the target was identified, fire was opened. However, it did not become a fight yet, but a chase, losing control of Galvatron. There were four missiles that the silver truck fired at Prime and his friends, causing tremendous chaos on the High Way.

"Send out a rescue team," came an instruction where it was not clear which of the staff it came from, "There may be civilian casualties."

"These are bystanders caught in the crossfire," a matter Joyce didn't need to mention because everyone present here had seen or witnessed it with their own eyes, "You can't do that."

"You're making history here for your country. For the world. Our freedom is at stake," interestingly enough, Attinger was right about that, only the real thought was that Joyce, Savoy, Brady and himself, were meant by 'our freedom' and not that of the citizens, "What do a few lives matter?"

In other words, collateral damage.

After another missile launch, a planned one, the long-awaited fight between Prime and Galvatron occurred, which the KSI transformer could not lose.

"You don't have a soul.", Prime, fended off Galvatron's attack.

"That's why I don't know fear.", Galvatron returned in response, causing Brady's eyes to grow wide and she slowly turned her head to the side where Attinger stood, "Now die."

It wasn't supposed to be like this, was it? It certainly wasn't. Something had gone hugely wrong with the construction of Galvatron. Besides that, it sure looked like Joyce Transformer was going to win.

"What's that?" asked Darcy not much later, at the sight of Lockdown emerging.

"That's my agent," Attinger announced, turning to the KSI team, "Pull Galvatron back."

That didn't have to be said twice to Joyce, who directly acknowledged Attinger's directive, and Lockdown took on Prime himself. One shot and the job was done.
