Chapter 1: At The Studio

"i gotta get to the studio." i say to my best friend

"oouuuu, you recording with anybody today?" she asks

"yeah, actually." i say

"who is it y/n?"

"it's Kehlani." i look down and i smile

i've always dreamed of collaborating with Kehlani one day, i've admired her for so long, and the fact that it's actually happening is crazy.

"oh girl, i just KNOW you happy as hell, we all know how much you love Kehlani."

"oh girl, you know it." i laughed

"when you leavin'?" she says

"imma be gone in like, 10 minutes"

"oh ight, can i invite my girlfriend over here while you're gone?" she says

"yeah, for sure" i say
10 minutes has passed and now i'm gone

15 minutes later, i pull up to the studio. i see a Porsche as soon as i pull in and wonder, "is that Kehlani's car?"

i get out of my car, grab my phone, notebook, laptop, and charger and head into the stu.

"hey y/n!!!" the producer says

"hey Jermaine!"

he walks over to me and gives me a hug

"how you been?" says Jermaine

"i been doing really good actually. i've been working on myself a lot lately and doing more things that make me happy. i've even started a garden in my backyard! i love it so much, it brings me peace." i say

"you're into plants and gardening too?" Kehlani says

"yes, yes i am" i say

"by the way, i never properly introduced you to myself, my name is y/n. i'm a very big fan of yours and for you to be on this track with me is like, a dream of mine, so thank you for doing this." i smile and i go in for a hug

"nah, it's no problem, i love working with new artists, i can teach them a thing or two."

i laugh and glare at her, she smiles and looks me in the eyes.

"well, enough of the soppy shit, you ready to make some music?" she asks

"yeah, yeah, definitely." i say

"well, let's do it then, ladies." Jermaine says

i go into the booth first to record the first verse. while i'm in there, i see Kehlani bopping her head and i smile.

Kehlani's POV

"damn, her voice is god sent. she got potential, just give her time. she got it in her." i say

"ahhh definitely, only time will tell." Jermaine says

damn this girl is mad cute, she can sing, and she likes plants and gardening too? i def need this girl in my life, i feel like we'd vibe with each other so fuckin well.

"damn, she's really good." Jermaine says

"i most definitely agree, her flow go crazy" i say

i see her glimpsing at me and i can't help but smile. i see her smile back and look down.

"damn she got a nice smile too? i need her, some way, some how." i say in my head

"how was that?" she says
