Y/N's POV
i wake up and FaceTime Lani.
"good morning Lani." i yawned
"good morning mama, how'd you sleep?" Lani asked
"good."
"that's good, are you doing anything today?" she asked
"i'm gonna go to Jai's house, i need to talk to her about something important." i say
"you should come over when y'all are done talking, my friends wanna get to know you more." Lani said
"i will, i'll tell you when i'm on my way." i say
"imma let you got get ready, mama, i'll see you later."
"do you want me to bring anything?" i ask
"nah, we'll figure something out." she says
"okay, i'll see you later love, bye!" i say
"bye mama." she hung up the phone and i started to get ready to take a shower.
i grab my towel and go shower. i use my ocean scented body wash and start cleaning myself. after i finish rinsing the soap off, i brush my teeth.
i clean my toothbrush off and start getting ready to see Jai. i put on my news lows again, baggy khakis, a black tee shirt and a bandana. i spray some perfume and head to Jai's house.
10 minutes later, i arrived and went right inside.
"hi Marie." i walk up to Jai's mom and hug her
"hey y/n/n how are you?" she asks
"i'm good, yourself?" i ask back
"good, good."
"i'm glad." i say
"thank you." she says
"is Jai in her room?" i ask
"yes, she's been waiting for you." she says
"well imma go talk to her, see you later Marie." i run upstairs to Jai's room and knock on the door.
"come in." Jai says. i open the door and start smiling
"hey bae." i say
"hey baeee, why haven't you answered my texts? it's been 5 days." she tried to seem serious but broke out laughing
"i ain't even peep that you texted me tbh." i say
"anyway, i saw your insta post." she says
"yeah, Lani wanted me to make a song with her."
"what's it called?" she asked
"Change Your Life."
"cool, cool. so, i know y'all have been hanging out with each other." she says
