Chapter 31

One week, in one week!?

"How does the school expect us to get all our shopping done before that!" i mutter, leading both Mark and Heather upstairs towards my room.

After i'd told them about my plan of going to grandmas with them, they'd agreed enthusiastically.

I'd invited them there before but something always came up and they couldn't go.

"they dont, everyone's probably chosen their dress more than a year ago," heather sighs, also fustrated about not having enough time to shop for the perfect dress, "i'd completely forgotten all about graduation!"

"how could you forget about graduation!" Mark suddenly speaks up, running towards my bed and practically slamming himself on it.

"Mark seems more likely to forget about graduation than you, heather."

"what does that mean?! Can a man not be excited for anything?"

I chuckle, "man?"

At this, mark just huffs, slamming his face into the blanket.

"im kidding, i just thought heather would be the type to buy her dress beforehand as well. Not that im complaining, we could shop together now."

"oh, we could shop together when we're at your grandmas!" heather who was once slumped on my study chair, excitedly sits up to say.

"yes and we cou-" i stop suddenly to cough, a bit shocked i even had to.

"woah woah woah," Mark looks at me, leaning away dramatically, "i'm so not catching a cold now."

I just glare at him, "it's not even a cold, don't know where that came from."

"i think you've exhausted yourself after studying for the exams, we all have. Maybe we should rest a few days then start packing for the trip, we only have about like three days left."

"yea, i think all those sleepless nights are finally getting to me," i tell them, feeling a small headache creeping up.

"i think i'm going to rest," i hold my head when the headache increases.

"you indirectly kicking us out now?" Mark chuckles but then he stops, getting serious, "is it a headache?" he asks, way softly now.

I just nod, bad idea, it got worse.

"here, lay down, i'll massage your head for you," he offers.

Smiling at his offer, "really?" i raise my eyebrows.

"wow Mark's serious for once!" Heather claps, not really shocked but still making fun of him.

Mark rolls his eyes, standing up from the bed so i could lay down, looking at heather and raising a finger, "a friend in need is a friend indeed."
