CHAPTER FIVE

EMMA’S POV

Finally after hours of sitting on my butt, I was home. Oh sweet, sweet home.

“BABY GIRL!”

“DADDY!”

I dropped my bag before him and jumped into his arms.

“Oh baby girl, it’s so good to finally see you.”

I nodded as I held back my tears.

“I missed you Daddy.”

“I missed you too baby girl, now come on, everyone is waiting for you.”

I quickly jumped off of him and look up. Dad was a very tall muscular man with brown wavy hail like mine and I look more like him than my mother. He still looked young for his age, but that was the beauty of being a werewolf, we age slower than the average person.

“Come on!”

He tugged at my hand as our driver took my bags and boxes with dresses.”

“Careful with those or sissy will have a fit.”

They nodded and we got into the car.

“What’s this?”

I still had the book in my hands; I just couldn’t let it go.

“Birthday present.”

He then took it and smelt it.

“From whom?”

 “Oh Daddy…”

“Who?”

I then realized that I still didn’t know.

“Baby girl?”

“Actually Daddy, I don’t know. It was just dropped off and the note only said Happy Birthday on it.”

He smirked, meaning one thing, he knew something I didn’t.

“Daddy?”

“Your mom and Sissy are at the wedding planner’s office going over last minute details and said they’d meet us at the restaurant.”

“Is she bringing her fiancé?”

“No, he’s still in New York, it’ll be just us.”

I smiled, nodding and taking my book back from him.

“Good, I’ll get some time with Sissy to show her, her dresses.”

“Dresses?”

“Wedding present.”

He then wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into a hug. I took the opportunity to smell him since I hadn’t seen him in a year and forgot what he smelt like; pinecones and cinnamon. We didn’t need to talk since we spoke on the phone mostly every night, so I just laid there in his arms like I always did when I was a little girl.

When we arrived we were led to our usual table and mom and sissy were already there.”

“Sissy!”

“Baby girl?”

I ran up to her and jumped into her arms.

“Oh my god, baby girl isn’t a baby anymore.”

I laughed and jumped down away from her, letting her take a good look at me.

“Wow, you’re all grown up!”

“Hey, she’s still my baby girl.”

I laughed and went around to hug mom.

“Hi Mom.”
