Chapter Thirty-two

Suddenly Xavier stopped rubbing my back and I could only stare at the doctor.

“What do you mean baby?”

“You’re pregnant; you and your husband are having a baby. We took blood work to rule out anything out of the ordinary and one of them was a pregnancy test.”

“But that’s imposs…”

I stopped when I felt Xavier take my hand

“Let’s give them a minute, shall we?”

Both moms took him outside and I turned, looking up at Xavier. I tried to pull my hand away, but he wouldn’t let go.

“Xavier…”

But he wouldn’t budge; he was just staring into space.

XAVIER’S POV

Once he said baby, I felt like my heart caved in. She was about to say it was impossible, but it wasn’t. She was pregnant, oh god she was pregnant.

“Xavier?”

But could it be possible for it to happen, could she really be pregnant even if her wolf wasn’t in her?

“Xavier, you’re hurting me!”

I then snapped out of it and looked down at her with tears in her eyes.

“Sorry, what?”

“I said you’re hurting me.”

She tugged at her hand and I quickly let her go.

“Shit, I’m sorry.”

She shook her head and started crying.

“I swear I made sure we were careful.”

I frowned…what?

“What are you talking about, how could you make sure if you had no control over it?”

“Yes I did, I made sure we used something!”

“Emma, what are you talking about?”

“Me and Quin!”

“You and Quin, what does this have to do with him?”

“What do you mean, what does this have to do with him?!”

She was beginning to throw her hands up and I knew then she was going to get herself sick again.

“Baby calm down.”

“Are you kidding me right now? How can you be so calm? You should be pissed off and angry!”

Okay I was getting confused.

‘You idiot! She thinks Quin is the father!’

 “BABY, CALM DOWN.”

My wolf growled just at the thought of him being with her, but her wolf put him right back in his place and I was thankful for that.

“Emma, it’s not Quin’s.”

“Of course it is who else’s would it be?”

“He’s right.”

We both looked back to see my grandmother and her grandfather.

“What are you talking about? Xavier and I haven’t even slept in the same bed, let alone in the same room in god knows how long.”

“But your wolves have.”

I smiled then, looking down at her as she looks up at me wide eyed.
