I was able to spend some time with my sister and Zander. They were mostly telling embarrassing stories about me making everyone laugh of course. Hey I wasn’t the most behaved kid in world, but in the end it took my mind off of everything and I wasn’t worrying about anything or anyone, although I was feeling like someone was watching me for most of day since I stepped out, but I knew if I started looking around Antonio would start suspecting something.
Sissy and I were finishing with the dishes while the guys were still in the living room talking when she let out a yawn.
“Alright, I’m going to bed, it’s late and I have a flight tomorrow morning and I’m expecting you in my room in ten minutes missy, we need to talk.”
I nodded and let her go to bed. I finished with the kitchen and went outside to take out the trash when I heard a howl making me freeze in my spot and look up.
My heart dropped, making me drop me the bag with a loud crash.
“Xavier.”
“Hello Emma.”
He stepped forward making me take a step back. No, it’s just a dream, a hallucination, it’s not him. I began to shake my head, closing my eyes, but I could feel him come closer. My heart skipped, my breath caught and the tears came pouring out.
“No…”
“Luna?”
My head snapped up and around to see Antonio, but I looked back at Xavier.
“Leave.”
“No.”
“Please, just go, you don’t want me.”
“I never said that.”
“Yes you did! You left, that was more than enough said!”
“Luna!”
Antonio came running down towards me and pulled me behind him.
“Who are you and what do you want?”
I heard a growl and it was towards me, making me cringe into submission.
“He’s my husband.”
I could feel his body stiffen, but he soon turned and lifted my head to look at him, hiding his own fear.
“Go inside, I’ll handle this.”
“No, she’s mine!”
Antonio quickly spun around and faced him.
“You don’t tell her what to do, you are NOTHING!”
“I’m her HUSBAND and her MATE!”
That only made Antonio laugh, throwing his head back.
“Is that what you call yourself? Let me tell you something pup… You are NOTHING! You left her alone, you didn’t protect her and you certainly weren’t man enough to make sure your ass of a brother wouldn’t get to her, AGAIN!”
By the time he finished, I was shaking, but managed to look up at Xavier as he looked at me and took a step forward which Antonio quickly stopped.
“I’m her mate now and I will take care of her and my child.”
Xavier’s eyes widened, but soon narrowed at Antonio with a loud growl. I gasped and stepped away from Antonio, but he pulled me back in.
“You didn’t.”
Dad’s pack slowly made themselves known from behind the trees and I could only shake my head.
“No.”
