📍TITAN, OUTER SPACE

"The hell happened to this planet?" Quill thought out loud and held out a device, "It's eight degrees off the axis. Gravitational pull is all over the place."

Tony looked around, "Yeah, we got one advantage. He's coming to us," he paused, "We'll use it. Alright, I have a plan," he announced out loud and gathered everyone, "Or at least the beginnings of one. It's pretty simple. We draw him in, pin him down, get what we need," he told Quill as Peter Parker walked over to them, "Definitely don't wanna dance with this guy. We just want the gauntlet." He did a double take at Drax, "Are you yawning?" he scoffed, as Mantis gazed into Drax's open mouth, "In the middle of this when I'm breaking it down. Huh? Did you hear what I said?"

"I stopped listening after you said, 'We need a plan'," Drax replied.

"Okay, Mr. Clean is on his own page."

"See, 'Not winging it' isn't really what they do," Quill explained.

"Uh," Peter raised a hand, "What exactly is that they do?"

"Kick names, take ass," Mantis snarled.

"That's right," Drax approved.

Tony exhaled deeply, holding his hands behind his back, "Alright just, get over here, please. Mr. Lord, can you get your folks to circle up?" he added to Quill.

"'Mr. Lord'," he shook his head, "Star-Lord is fine," he motioned for Drax and Mantis to come over.

"We gotta coalesce," Tony started as they came over, "'Cause if we all come at him with this plucky attitude—"

"Dude. Don't call us 'plucky'. We don't know what it means." Tony gave him a look and he continued, "Alright, we're optimistic, yes. I like your plan. Except it sucks, so let me do the plan and that way, it might be really good."

"Tell him about the dance-off to save the universe," Drax prompted.

"What dance-off?" Tony questioned.

"It's nothing," Quill declined.

"Like in 'Footloose', the movie?" Parker piped up.

"Exactly like Footloose," he replied in appreciation, "Is it still the greatest movie in the history?"

"It never was."

"Don't encourage this, alright," Tony walked towards him.

"Okay."

"We're getting no help from Flash Gordon here."

"Flash Gordon?" Quill cocked his head and stepped forward, "By the way, that's a compliment. Don't forget, I'm half-human. So the 50% of me that's stupid, that's a 100% of you."

"You're math is blowing my mind."

"Excuse me," Mantis interrupted and turned back to Strange, "But does you friend often do that?"

"Strange, we alright?" Tony yelled over at him.

For Stephen Strange was levitated off the ground with crossed legs, hands holding an intricate position. The Time Stone glowed as a few strings of green wrapped around his forearms. Eyes closed shut, his face was twitching as it snapped from one side to another rapidly.

Tony walked towards him; Strange fell to the ground with a yell, panting heavily and wide-eyed

Tony walked towards him; Strange fell to the ground with a yell, panting heavily and wide-eyed.

"You're back," Tony soothed, "You're alright."

"Hey, what was that?" Peter jogged forward.

"I went forward in time," Strange replied, "To view alternate futures. To see all the possible outcomes of the coming conflict."

"How many did you see?" Quill asked.

"14,000,605," he frowned in thought.

"How many did we win?" Tony inquired.

He paused for a moment and took a deep breath, eyes flicking over to Peter Parker in the end. He blinked ahead at the empty space in front of him, and then finally turned back to Tony in front of him.

Strange had an expression of pity. It wasn't fair. It really wasn't. But there is no other way. With pursed his lips he finally replied, "One."
