Thor walked into the Avengers compound, opening a can of beer and taking a sip from it. He was wearing crocs and his jacket loosely draped around his shoulders.
"You're drifting left."
He turned and saw Tony walk past him with a pipe slung over his shoulder. Right behind him was Y/N, pushing a large container, as he pulled from the front, "On the side there, Lebowski."
"Rachet, how's it going?" Tony asked once they reached Rocket by the glass platform of the Quantum platform.
"I think Rocky Road's doing pretty well," Y/N walked over to the front and crossed her arms.
"It's Rocket," the raccoon corrected the pair, "Take it easy, pals. You're only geniuses on Earth."
A loud burp was released behind the billionaire and the assassin, and they turned to see Thor raise his hands in surrender.
Tony gave Y/N a weird look, but she only shrugged and got to work beside Rocket.

"Time travel suit? Not bad," Rhodey nodded at the suit that Scott was wearing which had been designed that morning by Y/N and Tony. He would be the one to test it out to check if it was safe and functional, given that he had experience compared to others. Bruce picked up a Pym particle and went to place it in his suit.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Scott said hastily, his voice filled with paranoia, and he took the particles from, him, "Easy! Easy!"
"I'm being very careful," stated Bruce.
"No, you're being very Hulky."
"I am being careful."
"These are Pym particles, alright?" he held it up to show, "Ever since Hank Pym got snapped out of existence, this is it. This is what we have. We're not making anymore!"
"Scott," Rhodey raised his hands to ease his anxiety.
"Sorry," Scott sighed, "We've got enough for one round trip each. That's it. No do-overs. Plus two test-runs," he placed the particle in the compartment of his suit and shut it close. But as soon as he did so, he yelled as his suit shrunk into oblivion for a millisecond. He appeared back in his normal size with an awkward look behind his mask, "One test run," he corrected his previous statement.
Rhodey shook his head in disappointment.
"Alright," Scott breathed, "I'm not ready for this."
"I'm game," Clint spoke up from the doorway, "I'll do it."

Clint was now in the time travel suit. Nebula was adjusting the holographic mechanics of it on his shoulder.
"Clint," Bruce turned to him, "You're gonna feel a little discombobulated from the chronoshift. Don't worry about that."
"Wait a second, let me ask you something," Rhodey interrupted, "If we can do this, you know, go back in time, why don't we just find Baby Thanos and, you know," he motioned tying a noose around the neck and tightening it at both sides.
"First of all, that's horrible," Bruce pointed a finger at him.
"It's Thanos," Rhodey rolled his eyes
"And secondly," he continued, "Time doesn't work that way. Changing the past doesn't change the future."
"Look, we go back, we get the Stones before Thanos gets them," Scott defended Rhodey, "Thanos doesn't have the Stones. Problem solved."
"Bingo," Clint spoke up.
"That's not how it works," Nebula glanced at them.
"That's what I heard."
"Wait, by who?" Bruce was beyond annoyed, "Who told you that?"
"Star Trek, Terminator, Timecop," Rhodey started to tick off of his fingers, "Time after Time."
"Quantum Leap," Scott added.
"Wrinkle In Time, Somewhere in Time,"
"Hot Tub Time Machine,"
"Hot Tub Time Machine, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Basically any movie that deals with time travel," Rhodey explained.
"Die Hard," Scott offered, "No that's not one," he took it back.
"This is known."
"I don't know why everyone believes that," Bruce raised his hands at his side, "But it isn't true. Think about it. If you travel to the past, that past becomes your future. And your former present becomes your past, which can't now be changed by your new future."
"Exactly," said Nebula, after finishing with Clint's suit.
"So, Back to the Future is a bunch of bullshit?" Scott's face dropped. He rested his hand on his hips, processing that he had been lied to his entire life.

All the Avengers were gathered around the time travel machine as Clint stood in the middle of the glass for the test run. He looked down at the glass, observing the work that Tony, Y/N, and Rocket had done together.
Y/N was biting her nails in anxiousness; Nat and Tony stood at her either sides, both equally nervous and worried.
"Alright, Clint," Bruce spoke from the controls, "We're going in 3, 2," The helmet closed around Clint's face, "1," The glass floor below him pulled her downwards and he shot down into the Quantum Realm, disappearing out of view.
"And returning, in 3, 2, 1,"
"Lila!" Clint landed on the glass floor of the time machine on her hands and knees, breathing heavily and grunting. The Quantum platform powered down; the helmet of the suit opened back and everyone rushed to up to him.
"Hey, hey," Nat ran and helped him up, Y/N close at her tail, "Look at me. You okay?" she helped him up as he looked around, his fingers wrapped around what looked like a baseball glove.
"Yeah, yeah," Clint panted, "It worked," he showed the glove to Nat and she turned to Y/N with her mouth open, who had the exact same facial expression. "It worked," he tossed the glove to Y/N.
Y/N caught the glove and high-fived Tony in victory, without looking; Both turned to each other to exchange a look of pride, relief, and determination.
They were gonna bring them back. Bring everyone back. Whatever it takes.
