Sasuke's Pov
"Good! Now we can have some fun!" Gaara says
"Since you have your Byakugan activated, he'll think you're ready to attack him. Distract him. And with one blow, I'll finish this." I say to Shiori
"Right" Shiori nods
Shiori jumps forward, Gaara jumps towards Shiori. I jump after him, and before he even has a chance to touch Shiori, I break through Gaara's monstrous arm. He screams in pain
"Gaara!" Temari yells
Gaara falls on the branch and we land on the branch he was on before. We looked back at him
'Looks like it worked'
Shiori and I gasp
Gaara chuckles, he stands up and laughs louder
"I see, so that's what it is" he says
I deactivate my Sharingan and Shiori deactivates her Byakugan
"Now it's clear to me exactly why I've been looking forward to this. This pain is the will to crush an opponent capable of wounding me so badly. Such victory will make me feel what it is to be truly alive!" Gaara says
"There's more, so much more" Gaara's arms begins growing again
I stand up
"What the" I say in confusion
"The sand" Shiori points at the gourd on Gaara's back
The sand in the gourd starts pouring down and transforms into some sort of tail
"What the hell is this guy? How many of these things are gonna grow out of him?" I ask no one in particular
"What is he doing now?" Shiori asks
We see Gaara using his monstrous arm and tail as a sling shot. He sling shots his way towards us
"He's even faster" Shiori says
"Shiori!" I react, grabbing Shiori and carrying her in my arm
I jump up and land under a tree branch. I activate my Sharingan
"My hero" Shiori hugs me by the neck
I smile at her. Then my expression turns serious
"Only by predicting his moves do we have a chance of dodging them. Without my Sharingan we'd be dead already" I say
"Ahh!" Gaara slings himself towards us again
'Can't use my Chidori'
"Shiori. Fireball Jutsu" I tell Shiori
"Mm" she nods in understanding
"Fire Style! Fireball Jutsu!" Shiori and I say at the same time
Gaara emerges from the flames
"It didn't even slow him down" Shiori says
"This level of Jutsu is useless" I say
"You two are finished!" Gaara hits us, knocking us back against a tree
'It's Chidori or nothing'
"Should I use Chidori now?" I hear Shiori whisper
"You mean you didn't use it on your match?" I ask her
She shakes her head, catching her breath
"Let's do it together then" I say
"But Sasuke. You already did it twice today! Remember what Kakashi Sensei said?!" Shiori looks at me worriedly
