A New Training Begins: I Will Be Strong

Shiori's Pov
We return to the village. We take Sasuke to the infirmary. He is given a check up and brought into a room

"Thank you" I bow to the doctor

"No problem Shiori" he smiles

I sit down on a chair next to Sasuke's bed

Guy Sensei walks into the room

"I called your parents Shiori, your mother is on her way up here" Guy Sensei informs me

"Thank you Sensei" I say

"You still look worried. Don't worry, Sasuke will be fine, we have to believe in Naruto and Master Jiraiya" Guy Sensei grins, hoping to cheer me up

"Of course. Thank you Sensei" I smile

"Well I have to go check up on Lee, your mother should be here any moment now" Guy Sensei says

"Of course" I nod

Guy Sensei waves and leaves the room

I look down on Sasuke

"I will be stronger for both our sake" I say in a whisper

"Shiori" I hear someone call

I turn to look at the door to see my mother standing there with worry

I stand up

"Mother" I say

She hurries to my side and hugs me close

"Guy told me everything" she says as she pulls away

Mother looks down at Sasuke

"Poor boy. What was Itachi thinking doing this to his little brother?" mother says

"I was so useless. I could've done something. But I..." I feel tears form in my eyes

"No one can blame you. You've known Itachi all your life, he's always been like a brother to you. Everything that happened is a lot to take in for both you and Sasuke. However, I'm disappointed with both of you, you know better than that" mother says

I look down sadly

"On the way back here, I decided to start training harder than ever before" I say

"Then things worked out then. I decided to take a break from going on missions and doing any paper work, until Sasuke is discharged. So you don't have to worry about Sasuke, go on and train" mother says

My eyes widen

"Thank you mother" I say as I bow to her

"With the current state of the village, your father would be busy with work and taking care of both you and your younger brother, I doubt he'll have too much time to train you like before. Your brother and sister is also out on missions. And I'll be taking care of Sasuke" she says

"Please do not worry about my training mother. I already have someone in mind who I want to ask" I smile

"Is that right? Alright. Well then we expect you'll be far stronger than you are now" my mother says, not asking anymore questions

'*Sigh* Mother's strictness and expectations are showing again. I know, she and father wants me and my siblings to be stronger than those in the main branch. I want that too but it can be pressuring coming from them'

"I'll be on my way then, mother. I'll return later" I say

"I understand" mother nods

I look down at Sasuke
