We are called in to the Hokage Residence
"*Giggle* Okay. Let's do it, whatever the mission is. I'm psych and ready to go!" Naruto says excitedly
"Hn"--Sasuke
I giggle at Naruto's enthusiasm
"But where's Kakashi Sensei?" Sakura asks as he looks around
"Man, some teacher. He's always the last one here" Naruto complains
"I'm getting used to it at this point" I say
"Kakashi won't be here at all" Lady Tsunade says as she walks in the room
"Huh?" we look at her
"Grandma Tsunade, what's up?" Naruto say
"Manners Naruto" I whisper
"It's fine, right Grandma Tsunade?" Naruto grins
"Stop calling me that, will you?" Lady Tsunade says as she sits down
"Lady Tsunade. What's this about Kakashi Sensei not coming?" I ask
"You know our forces are stretched thin. All of our Jonin are already busy on other missions, including Kakashi" Lady Tsunade answers
"You four will just have to handle this one on your own. It's a B-rank escort mission. Someone important" she says
'This will be our first mission without Kakashi Sensei'
"Important? Really?--Sakura
"Of course, it could develop into an A-rank mission if you ran into trouble" Lady Tsunade says
"Then the person we're escorting must really be important if the rank of the mission is so high" I say
"For sure" Naruto nods
"So. Who do we escort?" Sasuke asks
"I don't know" Lady Tsunade answers
"Huh?" we look at her confusedly
"Hold on. What do you mean you don't know?" Naruto asks
"Every four years, our neighbor, the Land of Tea, holds a dedication ceremony at the Great Todoroki Shrine. And each time, we're asked to escort a runner who participate in the race that's part of the ceremonies. This year, the messengers who's bringing the request were attacked before they could get here" Lady Tsunade explains
"Attacked?" I say
"Who attacked them?" Naruto asks
"I'm sorry. But I'm still not following this story very well" Sakura says
"Well don't worry about that now. When you meet Boss Jirocho, he'll fill you in on everything" Lady Tsunade says
"When we meet Boss Jirocho? Ah, that gambler guy we met" Naruto says
Lady Tsunade stands up
"That's everything I know. Now, no wasting time. They're expecting you in the Land of Tea by the end of the day, so get moving" she says
"Right--Sakura
"Of course" I say
"Got it"--Sasuke
"Don't worry. You can count on us" Naruto says as we run off
Sasuke's Pov
We finished packing our bags and begin our journey
"Hey Sakura, you hungry at all?" Naruto asks
"A little bit, maybe" Sakura says
"What about you Shiori?" I ask
