SHIORI'S POV
I wake up 30 minutes earlier than usual, 4:30 am
I take a bath and prepare my things
I walk down the stairs, heading towards the kitchen where my mother is, cooking
"Mother. I will be heading to Sasuke's place now" I tell my mother as I take the lunch she made me on the table
"What? But you haven't eaten breakfast yet" she says as she turns to me
"There's no need, mother. My team and I were told to not eat breakfast for today's survival exercise" I smile
"You'll starve if you don't eat. I don't care if you're told not to eat, you're eating" she say as she points at the food prepared on the table
"But mother. I might puke" I reason
"You're not going to puke, I know so. Mother knows best after all"
"Mother, I shouldn't. I have to go" I tell her
"No. I'm not allowing you to leave this house until you eat" she says with a mix of worry and anger in her tone
"But mother"
"No buts. Now eat" she says as she gently but forcefully push me down to sit on the chair
"Mother"
"Are you disobeying me?"
"No mother" I give in and hold the chopsticks
"Good" she smiles, satisfied
"I don't understand why your teacher wants you to starve. I don't care of the reason. I'm not letting my kids starve to death. Sheesh" She mumbles as she continues cooking
"You and Sasuke are in the same group correct?" she asks
"Yes" I answer
"Then once you get to his house, tell him to eat breakfast. Understood?"
"Yes mother" I nod as I continue eating
'Gomenasai. Sensei'
-Time skip-
SASUKE'S POV
'What's taking Shiori so long? She said she'll be here at 4:30 and it's already 4:50' I think as I sit on my bed
"Sasuke" I hear Shiori's voice in the living room
I walk out the bedroom with my bag and go to the living room
I see Shiori standing in front of the door holding the spare key to my place on her hand
"Are you alright? You're a bit late" I ask her
"I am. Sorry. Mother won't let me leave the house until I eat" she sighs
"Yeah. I guess that's the sort of thing your mother would do. She's always concern about your health and well being"
"Yeah. Oh yeah, she also told me to tell you to eat as well. I made sure to eat 90% less than usual so I'm 90% obeying Kakashi Sensei"
"I won't eat" I tell her
"No way. My mother would be angry if she finds out. Eat a bit. Here, she cooked it" Shiori tells me as she opens a container on the coffee table
"Come on sweetie. I'll feed you" She smiles as she sits on the coach
"*Sigh* Alright. I'll eat the same portion you did" I say as I sit next to her
-Time skip-
SHIORI'S POV
Sasuke and I start walking towards the training spot
"I wonder if the survival exercise will be hard. But no doubt you'll be amazing Sasuke" I say sweetly as I wrap my arms around his neck as we walk
"Of course. But you have the talent and skills as well. But don't worry, just stick close to me and you'll be fine" Sasuke say as he shows me a slightly visible smile
