SASUKE'S POV
"Hmm?" I slowly open my eyes and close them again because of the lights in the room. Once my eyes get use to the lighting, I fully open them. I look around the room and see that I'm in a hospital room. Memories of last night rushes back to me. Tears fall down my face, then I realise something
"Shiori? Where is she?!" I ask myself in a panic as I sit up and I look around the room worriedly
I hear two nurses outside the room talking
"Did you hear what happened to the Uchiha Clan?"
"Yes I did. And also that only one child survived"
"Huh? I thought there was two of them"
"Kinda. But the other child is not from the Uchiha Clan but from the Hyuga Clan"
"Why was a Hyuga child there?"
"I'm guessing the Hyuga child is Konoha's 'Princess'. I hear that she always plays with an Uchiha her age there"
"The kid who survived?"
"Probably, I heard they were found together"
"Poor child having to witness his clan's massacre"
After hearing that Shiori's room is next to mine, I wait for the nurses to leave. Once they did, I sneak out of my room and walk towards the room Shiori's in
I stand by the door. I come in without knocking
The people inside are Shiori's parents and siblings
"Sasuke?"--Shiori's brother
"I was just about to go to your room" her father says
"Are you all right?" Shiori's mother walks towards me, bends down on my level and hugs me
"...I am..." I start tearing up
"Oh don't cry, we're here" she pats my back
"Thank you Auntie...But...How about Shiori? Is she okay?" I ask nervously
"Yes, the doctor voiced that you are both okay"--Shiori's sister
I slowly walk up to Shiori's bed. She's still unconscious
I stare at her for a couples of seconds then she slightly moves
She slowly opens her eyes
"Sasuke? What's going on? Where are we?" She asks as she looks at me
"Oh Shiori, thank goodness you're awake" her mom says happily
"Shiori" I whisper
I gently put my arms around her gently and I rest my head on her shoulder, I cry
"I was so worried. I'm glad you're okay" I whisper
"I'm okay, don't worry" she say
"What about you? You've been through worse" she says worriedly then she hugs me too
I tear up more
"Don't worry Sasuke, I'm here" She hugs me tighter
Shiori's family comforts me as Shiori and I hug each other
"The Hokage asked to see you in his office once you check out at the hospital" says Shiori's father
I flinch a little, a little nervous
Uncle notices
"I'll be going with you so don't worry" He reassures me
"I'm going with you too" Shiori smiles lightly
"I'm sorry Shiori but you're not going"
"Why not?"
"Because it doesn't concern you"
Shiori looks down sadly
"*Sigh* I'll make sure to get you once we're done, and inform you"
"Okay" she replies sadly
I put my hand on top of hers and smile at her, she looks at me
"I'll be fine" I tell her
"Okay" she nods
-Time Skip-
SASUKE'S POV
Shiori's father takes me to the Hokage's office. He looks up then smiles at me sadly
"Hello Sasuke. I bet you're wondering why I called you here. After what happened, I know you could use a place to stay. I know you've been through a lot. I found a house you can live in" says the Third Hokage
"Why can't Sasuke live with us instead?"
We look at the door and see Shiori there
"Shiori?" I call
"Shiori. What are you doing here?" Uncle asks angrily
"I was too worried about Sasuke so I came here" She answers quietly
"Tell me. Is that how a young lady behaves? Disobeying her parents, eavesdropping, coming in without knocking, and cutting in the conversation?" Uncle asks in an angry tone
"No. My apologies. I am deeply sorry father, Lord Hokage" she bows
I walk up to her and hold her hand
"I apologize for my daughter's manners, Lord third" Uncle bows
"Don't be too hard on her, it's alright. She can stay" the third hokage say with a smile
"...Alright" Uncle nods
"About what you said earlier Shiori. You live in the Hyuga Compound. See what I'm getting here? That place is only for Hyugas. You need the main branch's permission as well, which we all know they'll turn down" the thrird hokage explains
Shiori looks down on the ground sadly
"Don't worry Shiori, we can visit each other anytime we want" I try to make her feel better
"You can stay over at Sasuke's anytime you want" Uncle says to Shiori
"And as for you Sasuke, your aunt and I will visit you as often as we can. And if you ever need anything, just tell us. We're here for you" Uncle shows me a visible smile as he says this
"Thank you Uncle" I cry, my head facing the ground
"Don't cry Sasuke" Shiori says as she hugs me
After speaking with the Hokage, Uncle along with two other ninjas takes me and Shiori to my new home. We look around the house. Everything I'll need is here
"It's getting late, time for us to go" says the ninja near me
"Father. Can I stay here tonight?" Shiori asks
"Of course. I'll inform your mother" uncle nods without hesitation
Uncle and the two other ninjas leave
"Thanks Shiori. For being with me till now" I tell her with a sad smile
"Sasuke, as your future wife, I'm not gonna let you go through difficult times alone. I love you too much" She say as she hug me by the neck
We laugh at our childishness
"You're not alone" she whispers
