She's Mine

Kazi's leopard's name is Taj (t-ah-j)

*Sigh* "I wish I could meet a guy like that."

"Why? He's not that good-looking." Tek says looking over my shoulder.

"You don't know what you're talking about. He's HOT!" I exclaim pointing at the screen, while hitting him on the arm with another newspaper.

"Well I'm sorry. I'm not into guys." He says taking the new newspaper away.

"That's ok. I forgive you." I say smiling.

~~~Kazi's P.O.V.~~~

She looks up to my eyes and gasps. She stares at me for a minute, then slowly she starts reaching for my hand. As her hand lightly touches mine, my breathing stops.

"Taj, it's her. She's my mate." I say like a kid on Christmas.

"I know idiot. I feel it too. And just think eeeverybody said we should get with Candice." He says with annoyance.

Birayn gets a worried look on her face, and starts pulling her hand away. I growl and grasp her arm.

"Mine."

"What do you mean yours?" Alpha Rayson growls, stepping up behind his daughter, ready to kill me.

I gently caress Birayn's cheek. She subconsciously leans into my hand. I smile. "I mean, exactly what I said." I look at him. "She's mine."

He stops growling. "But, doesn't that mean...." His eyes go wide. "You're Kazi Jelani? The king of the felines?" He asks with shock.

I look back at Birayn. "Yes. That would be me."

Birayn shakes her head. "I don't get it. How is this possible? Don't I have to be a rare, or something, to be mated to you?" She asks.

Mrs. Rayson gasps, we look to her. And see tears in her eyes. Coming over she stands next to her husband, and looks up at him. "We need to tell her." She whispers. He sighs closing his eyes then nods. "Rain, come sit down with us." He says walking over to the couch.

Birayn goes to follow, but I grab her arm again. She looks back at me, and smiles the brightest smile. She takes my arm, and pulls me over to the couch.

~~~~Birayn's P.O.V.~~~~

I start to follow dad to the couch, but Kazi grabs my arm again. I look back at him, he had on the cutest pout ever. I smile at how adorable he is. I take his arm and drag him over with me.

I sit down with Kazi, and turn my attention to mom and dad. They were holding hands. "What is it you need to tell me?" I ask.

"I don't know where to begin." Dad says, he looks at mom. Mom nods, and puts all her attention on me. "Do you remember when you were little, I told you a story, about the Princess that had an arranged marriage?" She asks.

"Yeah. Her parents made her get married to the High Alpha, because neither of them had a mate. Why?" I ask cocking my head to the side.

"Do you remember anything else? Like, what happened after they married?"

"She met her mate. He came to the castle to pay his respects to the new queen. Where are you going with this?" I ask narrowing my eyes.

"What happened after she met her mate?" Mom asks, ignoring my question.

"She told the High Alpha. He respected the mating bond, and let her be with her mate. Why?" I ask again, my eyes narrowing more.

"There's something I didn't tell you. The Princess was pregnant with the High Alpha's baby...."

"Okay. And?" I ask shaking my head.

Mom looks at dad and squeezes his hand. Then looks back at me, and gives me a weak smile. "That Princess...was me." She confesses.

 Wait... I stand up, tears in my eyes. "So, are you telling me, that you are a princess, and thats not my real dad!" I scream, pointing at dad. Or who I thought was dad.

He stands up, walks over to me, and pulls me into a hug. I start struguling, trying to break away, but he won't budge. When I stop struguling, he pulls back and holds my face in his hands. "Rain. I will always be your dad. Always." He says, looking into my eyes, I nod and start crying. He pulls me into another hug. "I love you." He whispers, kissing my head.

"I love you too." I whisper, hugging him back.

~~~Jed's P.O.V.~~~

"Jed?" Viola asks, un-packing.

"Hmmm?" I ask kissing her neck.

"I can't un-pack with you doing that." She says, turning in my arms and gives me a peck on the lips. "Why don't you, go help Nala with her math?" She asks with her hands on my chest, ready to push me away.

I smile. "I'll make you a deal."

She grins back. "And what does this 'deal' contain?"

"You. Me. A couch. And a movie."

"Deal." She agrees. "Now go help Nala with her math." She shoos. I give her a kiss on the cheek and leave, grinning. I go to Nala's room and see Carlton standing guard outside. "Hey. She being good?" I ask. He just rolls his eyes. I laugh and  knock on her door.

"Can I come in?" I ask opening the door, to see Nala sitting on her bed.

"Yeah sure. What's up?" She asks putting the book she was reading down.

"Oh, nothing much. Got Vi settled in. You still need help with that math?" I ask.

"Oh, right." She says then starts looking around. "Ah-ha! Here it is." She declares holding her math book up. She gets up, once on her feet, her eyes immediately roll back.

Not again!

She starts to fall, I run and catch her before she hits the ground. "Carlton!" I yell. He instantly shows up. "Run and find Kazi. Now!"

~~~~~Nala's P.O.V.~~~~~

I hear a knock on my door, I turn to see who it is. "Hey kiddo. Can I come in?" Jed asks, opening the door.

"Yeah sure. What's up?" I ask, putting my book down.

"Oh, nothing much. Got Vi settled in. You still need help with that math?"

"Oh, right." I remember, then start looking for the math book. "Ah-ha! Here it is." I exclaim holding up the book. I get up to go over to my desk. Just as I get on my feet, I see tie-dye then black-out.

"Hello." A voice says.

"Who are you?" I ask, turning around. I see a man in buckskin clothes.

"I am your great-grandfather."

"I'm guessing from mom's side. What is it you want?"

"Yes. And I need you to do something for me."

"And what would that be?"

"No matter what you have to go with your brother."

"Go with him where?"

"There isn't much time." He starts fading.

"Wait, go with him where?" I yell.

"Cana....." Then he fades completely.
