~~~Kazi's P.O.V.~~~

I watch Birayn hug her dad back, crying.

"So, she's a Princess of both were-birds, and wolves." I say.

"Yep." Taj confirms.

"Wow. She's higher in rank then I am."

"A..."

He gets cut off by Alpha Rayson. "Your Highness." He says.

"I hate being called that. " I grumble to myself. I sigh. "Please, just call me Kazi." I plead.

"No problem." He says smiling. "Kazi, I have a request for you."

"Alright."

He sits back down next to his wife, Birayn sits down next to me, wiping a few tears. "Well, I can't go after Stan because of Alpha business for a little while. And I know Rain won't wait, whether I tell her to or not." He says.

Birayn stands up again. "Damn straight I won't wait. That bastard has Liylah. Who knows what he could be doing to her." She says, I can see the fury in her eyes.

"He won't do anything to her. He doesn't have the balls. He's just a weak crow." Alpha Rayson snarls.

"Then why did I have to meet with him? Why was he a proposition for my husband? I thought you wanted me to marry someone that I would be happy with." She yells.

I stiffen. "The guy that rape...." I clear my throat. "That hurt your mom. Was a suggestion for your husband? Why?" I ask, growling.

"Because I'm going into heat in two months. That's why." She snaps at me.

"Wait. How old are you?" I ask.

"Twenty-two. How old are you?" She asks back.

"Twenty-three. And you'll probably go into heat in a week, not two months." I say.

She stares at me in horror. Her mouth starts opening and closing like a fish, trying to form words.

"See, in my line of kings, all our mates, if they're over twenty, no mater what were-creature they are, go into heat three days to a week and a half after the meeting. And the only one that can satisfy the heat is her mate." I say answering her unspoken question.

She sits back down in shock and horror. "Oh god." She starts breathing heavily. Her eyes go wide and she looks at me. "We have to get married." She says.

"Well of course we will. When..."

"No. We have to get married before I go in to heat. I will not..." She gulps. "do it...out of the marriage bed." She finishes.

I put my hand on my thigh and stare at her trying to figure out if she is joking or not. "Are you serious?" I ask.

"Dead." She says with a I'm-f*ing-serious look.

"We'll talk about this later. What were you saying Alpha Rayson?" I ask looking at him again.

"I was saying I can't go anywhere yet. So, I want to ask you to go with Rain. That way she will be safe."
