She's quick, clever, and way stronger than me. Her kicks don't always land but I can tell that there's a strategy behind her movements. Her face doesn't even flinch, and she moves methodically.

No, she's not trying to land every kick, every punch, she's trying to win the entire fight by getting me right where she wants me.

Letting me believe that the fight is more even than it is. Letting me believe I have a chance. If I were to believe that, I wouldn't play as defensive and I would be bolder, therefore a more open target.

More prone to easy mistakes.

Clever indeed.

As a consequence, I had done just that. I have gotten close to her, and my aggressive moves have caused me to make a simple mistake. She takes advantage of the fact and throws me to the ground and pins me down in one. Swift. Movement.

Her face closes in on my own until I can feel her breath against my face.

"Too easy," Nat says whilst grinning.

"Oh, come on. I almost had you at one point and I feel like I have gotten a little bit better, haven't I?"

She hasn't let go of me yet and just giggles right in my face.

"Sure, but when I'm done with you, you are going to be the best."

With that said, she climbs off me and offers me her hand, when she's on her feet.

Natasha is a tough trainer with high demands and expectations. She expects me to constantly improve and that is fully what I intend on doing - I want to be the best.

"Let's throw some daggers into the game, shall we?"

"Finally, some fun toys to play with."

As Natasha is away retrieving some knives for us to use, I spot Bucky at the other side of the gym by the punching bags. We immediately lock eyes and I can tell there's some tension in his. His brows are furrowed and his movements seem unnecessarily aggressive – not very methodic. I simply smile at him before turning to see Natasha back with the knives.

I've never really used any weapons before in training, so we must take things slow, and Natasha is showing me the utmost basic moves. When I can't get it right, she directs my arms herself. She shows me forward and reverse grips and how to move the knives the right way. She tells me how I need to keep moving and read my opponent's movements to figure out the right attack. I'm told slicing is better than stabbing since it doesn't slow you down and make you vulnerable. It is a lot to take in at once, but the theoretical part is still easier than the practical one.
