Chapter 4: Unexpected news

TenTen’s POV

I don’t know what happened, but I rushed to the hospital. Hanabi’s definitely hiding something from me and what is she doing in the hospital?! I know she didn’t want to stress me, but I’m scared. I’d be more calm if she just told me. At least I think. When I got there, I saw Hanabi in front of the hospital.

"Hanabi, I thought we’ll meet in the hospital."

"I wanted more privacy, so I went out."

"M-more privacy? For what?"

"TenTen, I have to tell you something. You should be the first to know, but it was complicated…"

"Hanabi, don’t beat around the bush!"

"All right, but please stay calm." I nodded, but I don't promise anything.

"It’s about Neji-nii-san… He died in the last mission. I’m sorry…" W-what? Did I hear right?! My heart skipped a beat and suddenly my lower abdomen started to hurt. I kneeled down.

"TenTen! What’s wrong?!"

"Nothing, just my lower abdomen. It’ll be okay."

"TenTen, you are bleeding!" I looked at my dress. It was really dirty.

"I’ll get the nurse, wait here!" She yelled, but now nothing mattered to me. I just learned my lover died… And our baby lost a father… I can’t think straight right now. Neji, why did you leave us? Why?! I cried.

Boruto’s POV

I just left dad, Himawari and aunt there and went to see Sumire. I’m not used to knocking on the door, so I just opened them and-

"What the hell are you guys doing?!" I blushed. Kawaki frowned at me.

"You should learn some manners."

"You too, this is a hospital!" Sumire laughed.

"I see you are okay, Sumire. Maybe too okay…" I looked at Kawaki.

"Boruto-kun, aren’t you a little childish? We are not kids anymore…"

"Not now, I just learned where my new sibling was made."

"New sibling?" asked Kawaki.

"Yeah, mom is pregnant again. You know, it was hell even with Himawari. Mom was eating ramen and hamburger at the same time! Do you understand it?!"

"No…"

"It was horrible… How could she destroy hamburger like this?" They laughed. Come on, this is a serious topic-ttebasa! After a while someone knocked on the door.

"Who can it be?" asked Sumire.

"Someone with better manners," said Kawaki.

"You jerk, you don’t knock too!"

"Tss." While we were arguing, Sumire told the person to come in. I looked there and noticed it was Sarada.

"Sarada!"

"Hi Boruto and hi Sumire, Kawaki!"

"Sarada-chan, what are you doing here?"

"I came here with Boruto and Kawaki and then I went to find my mom, she informed me about Hinata-san’s state."

"And?! Is mom okay?!"

"Don’t worry, she and your sibling are okay."

"That’s great-ttebasa!" Kawaki and Sumire watched us.

"W-what’s wrong with you two?"

"Nothing, I just remember what you told me about Sarada, Boruto," said Kawaki. Damn it! I have to change the theme.

"Sarada, you know what? I saw Kawaki and Sumire kissing, it was so disgusting!"

"What? Really? That’s so cute!" What?

"I’m so happy for you two! And are you finally dating?!"

"N-not yet." Sumire blushed.

"I still didn’t think about it…" said Kawaki. You deserve it after what you wanted to tell her. Now while we were laughing together, I remembered something.

"Hey Sarada, what about Mitsuki? I didn’t talk to him in a long time."

"Are you surprised? After what you told him… but don’t worry, he’s definitely over it now."

"What did I tell him?!"

"He was just worried about you and you told him he’s a gay and that you are not into these things."

"No way I was so cruel. I didn’t mean it!"

"He doesn’t care anymore and do you want to know what’s new? He and Chocho. They are hanging out."

"What? Fat girl?"

"How did you call my best friend?!"

"I said pretty girl! Pretty!"

"Chocho-chan, she visited me the last time in the hospital and told me something interesting…" said Sumire.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"Sarada-chan, is it true that the time on the beach you were lying on top of Boruto-kun and tried to kiss him?"

"That ChoCho! It was supposed to be a secret!" Sarada blushed.

"Wait, that really happened? Why did you want to kiss me?" I asked.

"B-because of the love potion of course. I knew about it all the time and wanted to save you…"

"Wait, just true love could save me… Did you think you are my true love?"

"I don’t want to talk about it!" She was hiding her face.

"I see." I smirked. Then I took her hands.

"So Sarada, don’t you think you owe me something?"

"I don’t owe you anything! It’s you who still owes me some money for hamburgers!"

"Don’t play stupid, you know what I mean." She blushed like a tomato. Then I kissed her.

"Hey Boruto, this is a hospital!" Kawaki can be so annoying.

Now I feel really sorry for TenTen, but I'm glad my favorite ships became canon at least in my story. 😂
