Chapter 14: Sacrifice

Kawaki’s POV

Today Boruto and Sarada came to visit us. It was 5 pm when they knocked on the door.

"What brought you to us, Boruto?"

"Sarada and I came on with a plan. Listen carefully what we have to say." I swallowed. There are not many times Boruto is serious. I let them in to sit with us. Sumire was just washing up.

"Sarada-chan!"

"Sumire!" They hugged. They didn’t see each other in a long time. I smirked.

"So Kawaki, how do you live together? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, Sumire got better after she learned the truth about her father. I’m glad she doesn’t think only about bad things anymore."

"Really? That’s great. We also got things back into normal, right Sarada?"

"You think I forgave you just because of one kiss? I’ll let dad kill you next time."

"Geez, you are so cold."

"What was it?"

"Nothing!" She smirked. Sarada has him under control like a dog. I couldn’t be with this type of girl.

"So back to why we came here, Kawaki. We know where is Othutsukis' mansion."

"What? Really?!"

"Yeah, I took tracking device from dad. Sumire’s bodyguard put a tracking bug on Urashiki, so now we know where he is and even how many of them is there. Right now there is three of them. Kawaki, Urashiki will definitely go after you. Momoshiki will probably stay where he is, but the third will go with Urashiki because of Sai-san’s team. I need you to buy us some time and play with Othutsukis till we finish our work. We’ll destroy their laboratory where they prison people and make experiences on them. We’ll also try to free the people if it’s possible, but we need you to success. You don’t need to entangle Sumire in this mess."

"No, I also want to help!" said seriously Sumire.

"But Sumire…" said Sarada.

"My father is one of the prisoners.. I want to help him at least like this. I’ll never forgive Othutsukis after what they’ve done to my family!"

I smiled. I like this attitude of hers.

"That’s the spirit, Sumire! Don’t worry, we’ll get your father back!" said Boruto.

They gave us walkie-talkie, so we can communicate during it. Boruto told us the plan. He said the best way to fight them is martial arts since weapons are useless. He showed us the map of their place. It was pretty far away from the city, but they are hiding near Konoha.

Boruto also told us he needs a bait. He knew they are watching us. We should play a little theater with Sai’s team so it looks like we are here alone. The rest is upon us. We said goodbye to each other and wished luck because we’ll need it.

They left, me and Sumire went to talk with Sai’s team. We found their hiding place and explained everything to him. He agreed with Boruto’s plan and told his team to move away. After a while Boruto talked to us through the walkie-talkie. Othutsuki moved from their place. There are two of them right now. So Urashiki is probably coming. It’s him who had a problem with audience. We stayed alert. Few minutes later I heard his voice.

"Ara, Kawaki, where are your bodyguards? Well, your death will be their fault in the end."

"You got it all wrong, Urashiki. We told them to leave us alone. After all, we can take you by ourselves." He was mad.

"You little brat! I’ll make sure your death will be slow and painful!" Sumire was worried, but this is exactly what I want. I need him to not think straight.

At first he just wanted to get me into unconsciousness. He tried to hit my head over something, I dodged every time. Then we were just sparring. He hit me few times and wanted to attack Sumire, but I got him every time.

"Tss, I don’t have much time to play with you. I’ll just end it!" He pointed a gun at me.

"A souvenir from that woman. Say hello to her in heaven."

"Noo!!" Just when I wanted to take him the gun, Sumire ran between us!

"Bakaa!! What are you doing?!" I yelled, but he already shot her.

"Oh, wrong target.." He looked at bleeding Sumire.

"You bastard! Didn’t you need her on something?!"

"Yeah, to get closer to FBI, but she isn’t the only girl here. I guess Uchiha Sarada will be better for this in the end." I was so angry. I pushed him to the ground.
