Three days. Maybe four days. Alex has not talked to me in days. I think this is the longest the two of us have ever gone without speaking. We never fought much back in Virginia, but even if we were having a domestic, I would still sit in her room while she read through her law textbooks. I would sit in her room and take care of her plants while she worked. The two of us have never been apart. The only other time we did not speak was when she left Astalilia.

I miss her voice. I miss the two of us being together and having life be us against the world.

I have been stuck in a room within the palace since we returned from Findara. I do not remember much of how I got here, because they needed to sedate me. While unconscious abilities become inoperative, so I woke up in this room. The room is special, because it neutralizes abilities - it is typically used when members of the royal family are sick or injured and their abilities go haywire. Most of the jails and prisons are built the same way in order to keep prisoners from escaping.

I do not know the logistics of how the room is built, because I did not think to ask anybody about the architectural designs. The one thing I know is that no one can use their ability while in this room.

I am thankful that this type of room exists.

Being given a dark ability and being human for the last twenty years, has led everyone in the palace to being fearful for their lives. Lifting my hand could cause a massive power outage throughout the palace and possibly the entire kingdom. I now have the ability to kill another human being with a flick of my finger. That thought - and that thought alone, is beyond mortifying.

Henry, Gabe, Seraphina, and Dominick have been coming to see me every day when I am allowed to have visitors. They trade off in shifts, because they do not want to leave me alone in this room for long by myself. They think that leaving me alone in complete isolation and solitude would lead me to lose my mind. This place is similar to an interrogation room; however, it is much nicer and welcoming. I have to talk to my friends through a glass window.
