I stood in front of my mirror and felt good about my first date outfit with Nathan. Truth be told, I have never been on a date before.

"Ah! You look beautiful!" Kat squealed.

"My first date. Wow," I whispered.

Dating has never been at the forefront of my mind. It has actually never crossed my mind at all.

I had one boyfriend growing up. Leo used to tell me that he was an asshole. Honestly, a part of me only dated him to make Leo angry. This supposed boyfriend never treated me like a girlfriend. We could not be in the same room together for more than a few minutes without getting into an argument.

When we finally broke up, Leo was the first to console me. He and Kat made it their mission to make me feel better, but I truly felt fine. Other than going on a rampage with a baseball bat. However, it is better to call that a lapse in judgement.

I felt fine. Not because it did not break my heart, but because I never gave him my heart in the first place.

I never lived my life with my heart on my sleeve. I always thought people who did that were asinine individuals who only wanted a distraction from real world responsibilities. Now I know that sounds morbid, but I did not grow up with a fairytale life.

Kat and Seraphina dressed me in a forest green sweater dress with a loose turtleneck on the top. The outfit was layered with black leggings underneath. Brown knee-high boots with white knee-high socks completed the look.

The perfect winter outfit.

Nathan, Gabe, and Henry met us in the royal dressing room.

No one said a single word. Henry took mine and Nathan's hands and started using his air mimicry to transport us to the village. Without saying anything, Henry teleported himself out of the village, leaving Nathan and I there.

I could see it in his eyes. Needing Henry to bring us to our date was excruciating for Nathan. He is too sanctimonious for his good. He felt that it was his responsibility to get me to the date himself, but with his injuries ... it was utterly impossible.

"Is it going to be weird now that people know who I am?" I asked.

"Don't worry. Dominick and I took care of that already," he said.
