The girl's breath hitched, their face paling at the sight of Jessie's stern face. The small confidence they had mustered up to talk to Amara was instantly drained and a sense of panic and guilt replaced it instead.

Wolves had a hierarchy to which they were obedient to. They respected and feared those who were above them and wouldn't dare act presumptuous, and because Jessie belonged at the top of the chain, they were naturally fearful of her.

"Well?" Jessie asked again.

The second cowered in fear, her head hanging low with her eyes glued to the ground, "N-nothing Miss Jessie." She said fiddling with her fingers.

Jessie glanced at Amara not completely convinced. She had an inkling that something more was happening and since she couldn't get an answer from the girls, she had no choice but to ask the others.

Amara stared at the two girls in front of them and noticed their hands trembling slightly, she understood that the two girls were afraid because Jessie was the one with the authority here, "Mn it's nothing," she replied.

Jessie looked at her incredulously before sighing. Since neither parties were willing to tell the truth then there wasn't much she could do about it. Moving her gaze back to the girls, she once again opened her and warned them, "Listen closely, because the two of you are still young I will be lenient on you this time, but I will warn you that these people are not someone you can act disrespectfully towards, do you understand?"

The two girls hastily nodded their heads as a wave of relief washed over them. Jessie waved them away and without a second thought, they scurried away, afraid that Jessie might change her mind.

In a town that was mostly populated by wolves, it was a no brainer that the people would be curious as to who their alpha's mate was. Several eyes that were filled with curiosity and scrutiny had already wandered towards them, but she didn't think much of it since she didn't think that any of them had the guts to walk up to them while she was around. The only thing that she miscalculated was that she had underestimated the bravery or recklessness of teenagers which led up to that messy situation.

"Sorry you had to go through that, kids can be very... impulsive,"

The three siblings smiled. She didn't see any trace of annoyance or malice but instead, their eyes were filled with amusement.

"They were quite cute, like little kittens trying to scratch you," Lairith said with a hint of laughter.

A large boat docked itself on the harbour. After several days of travel, they had finally arrived in Tiher, the country which his siren had fled too. Collin stepped off the boat and looked down at the busy pier where many people were entering and leaving the small island.

"Hurry and unload boss's things!" One of the sailors yelled.

In preparation for his stay on the island, Collin had purchased a large mansion on the edge of the forest. The mansion was surrounded by a huge plot of land that was large enough to accommodate both him and his entourage of nearly thirty people. Though he purchased this land, he was still unsure whether or not he would be staying for a long period of time.

Collin made his way towards the town with Hendrick trailing close behind him. It was common knowledge that if one was present then so was the other. Collin was seldom seen without his red-hair dog, who stood quietly behind him. The red-haired dog had accompanied him for so long that it was second nature to see them together, even his subordinates had never questioned the pair, it was as if they were packaged deal.
