Amara slowly pulled her self up, fully showing her upper body. The only leaving covering her bare chest was the long black hair that reached her pelvis.

The young man stumbled back after seeing her exquisite features, her tinted skin and reflective scales finally made him understand that the woman in front of him was not human.

He gulped.

He looked in to her eyes, leaving him dazed. At this point, it wouldn't be wrong to say that he had been bewitched.

Without averting her eyes Amara gently took hold of the man's hand slowly pulling it into the water, the cold lake slowly engulfed his fingers.

It wasn't long until half of his arm was already submerged into the water and just aa she was about to pull him in a mixture of voices and footsteps rang out from behind them.

"Davien!"

Multiple people repeatedly yelled out this name, shortly after a group of them could be seen getting close to the lake. Amara immediately released his hand and dove underneath the water.

Davien who was startled by this regained some focus, he blinked multiple times before pulling his arm out of the water, confusion filled his mind.

He looked across the lake to try and catch the sight of the woman but found that she had disappeared.

'Was she merely a figment of my imagination?' He looked at his hand and recalled the cold hand that held it, he was unsure of whether or not his encounter with the beautiful woman was real or merely an illusion

"Davien! You can't just disappear like that, especially in another alphas territory!" The man reprimanded.

Davien was suddenly pulled back into reality and finally noticed the man who was yelling at him. Tristan was one of the werewolves that came with him and his father to sign a treaty with the Vermillion pack. This meant that his father, Elias, was the alpha of Dawns pack and Tristan was his beta.

Tristan continued to lecture him about his sudden disappearance while Davien absently nodded his head. While listening to his never ending lecture his mind began to wander to something else or more like someone else.

He once again recalled the image of the woman in the lake, the sound of her voice was firmly planted into his mind. His eyes darkened and unknowingly a seed of obsession was planted in his heart.

"What are you even doing here anyway? It's pretty far from the town. Do you have any idea what could happened to you?" He nagged

"I saw a nymph" Davian mumbled quietly

"What?"

Davian shook his head "Nothing"

He turned to face Tristan who still had a disapproving look on his face, he chuckled and turned ignored it.

"So how are the negotiations going?" He asked trying to change the subject.

Tristan sighed "It was going well until Alpha Austin received a call and then suddenly left. It looked pretty urgent though"

Davian raised his eyebrows "Oh? I wonder what could have happened"

.

.

"Find her!" Austin growled as he slammed his fist on the table. His subordinates instinctively flinched in fear, it was very rare for their alpha to act like this. They wondered what that woman meant to their alpha, but looking at how he was acting they had a couple of guesses.

"Y-yes alpha" they said before running out of the room.

The desk that he had slammed into couldn't bare the impact of his strength and cracked.

The temperature in the room dropped making them shiver. Austin's eyes grew darker and darker showing showcasing his bad mood but if one were to look a little closer then they would see the anxiousness that was buried beneath it.

This whole situation started an hour ago when Jessie had rung him, the panic in her voice immediately told him that something was wrong and when she told him that Amara had disappeared his heart stopped beating.

He immediately rushed out of the meeting room with a dark face and wasted no time before immediately calling everyone and ordering them to find her.

He regretted leaving her side so much that his heart ached, his mind raced with all the things that could have happened to her. Even when he had ordered all of his warriors to find her his anxiety did not lessen.

The size of his territory was by no means small, it would take 1-2 days for someone to search every inch of it.

Right now he hated the fact that it was large but he knew that she couldn't have gotten far since it hasn't been that long since her disappearance.
