The three warriors that formed a protective semi-circle around the women and child covered any possible blind spots.

It wasn't long until the door slammed open revealing a feral wolf who's coat was covered in a mix of dirt and dried blood. The wolf snarled at them as slobber poured out of its mouth.

The wolf did not hesitate before diving in to attack. Its mouth was ready to bite into Marcus's arm but luckily the warrior was one step ahead and dodged. The amount of force the wolf exerted was enough for it to completely rip his arm from his socket.

Marcus carefully stepped out of his position and walked to the centre of the room. They circled each other vigilantly watching their opponent while looking for a chance to strike. With the two daggers in Marcus's hand he slashed at the wolf just barely nicking its neck, he did not stop and performed a series of attacks trying to corner it and end its life.

They attacked and defended before Marcus was finally able to grab the wolf's neck and with his strength, break it. He glanced behind him and found that the other two wolves were taken of. Thinking that it was over, they silently breathed a sigh of relief when five more wolves appeared.

A flash of confusion appeared on Marcus's face, 'what's going on?' He took a quick look out of the window and saw that a dozen more wolves were added into the fray, but although they were outnumbered they were still holding their ground pretty well.

He now realised that it was a mistake to underestimate these wolves. They were a lot stronger than they thought and didn't think they could fend them off without any casualties.

All of them seemed to understand this as they hardened their resolve, even at the cost of their life they will not let any of the people they were ordered to protect, be harmed.

Just as they were about to fight, a haunting melody pierced the air causing them to still. They rigidly looked behind them to find that Amara had begun to sing her song of death, her entire temperament had morphed to that of a beautiful, yet deadly seductress that brung death to every note that came out of her mouth.

The air trembled as she continued singing her beautiful yet haunting melody that reverberated through the room. Her eyes looked towards their direction making them break out into a cold sweat but quickly realised that she was looking past them.

They followed her gaze and saw that the rogues were put into a trance-like state. Their eyes looked blank and misty, and the animosity that used to leak out of them, disappear.

They were once again surprised to see that the wolves began changing back into their human forms but the sight that they were met with was anything but pleasant. Their bodied were littered with scars, big and small, it seemed as if not one patch of skin was smooth making them wonder what kind of atrocities they lived through.

Their future Luna had given them surprise after surprise, stopping rogues with just her voice? This gift had gotten them wondering who exactly she was because she sure isn't human.

Austin and Jackson went straight to the borders. Thankfully, the battle was happening miles away from the town inhabited by humans and they didn't have to strategise a way to move the battle somewhere else.

When they arrived at the border the sight they were met with was Felix mercilessly plunging his sword into a wolf cutting it down. Blood splattered across his face but other than that he seemed ok. They felt instant relief to find that he was relatively unharmed and that their warriors were holding their ground despite the fact that they had been caught unprepared.

Felix stood in there soaked in the blood of his enemies, his face remained calm while his gaze was piercingly sharp. He looked slightly out of breath indicating his growing fatigue.

Austin and Jackson did not waste a single moment longer before joining the battle. Jackson used his spear and pierced enemies left and right while Austin used his gun and fired off many shots, each hitting the target every time.

It is unknown when he arrived at the scene but Lucas ran to the nearest warrior that needed medical treatment and started his work. His actions were smooth and familiar. He didn't need to do much due to the superior health that werewolves possessed and only needed to sew a few stitches before their wounds started healing by themselves, but because of the accumulated fatigue of the individual, it proved difficult for them to join the battle right away.

Lucas looked across the battlefield and saw bodies that belonged to both wolves and men littered on the ground, their blood dying it red. The smell of blood was pungent and the sounds of battle were heard.

As a doctor who's purpose was to save lives he couldn't help but feel a bit of apprehension at the blood being spilled from his brethren and other creatures that held life, but he understood that this was necessary.

He was just glad that this kind of thing did not occur very often. Whenever Austin forcefully took over packs it was usually because the alpha was abusive to his pack or was involved in illegal dealing such as selling off their own wolves, but he made it so that any innocent lives were spared and only those who were culpable were killed or locked away.

He looked at his alpha who was firing shots left and right, it seemed that these rogues were targeting him though it is not much of a surprise. Attacks like these were frequent, it was just that they had never taken the initiative to work together before so this ambush was quite a surprise.
