Days passed and another boat sailed into the sirens' hunting ground. Sensing their next meal approaching, they used the same tactics as before and enchanted them with their voices before swimming close to the boat so that they could be spotted. A crowd naturally formed as the sailors began to spot them one by one. They gathered at the head of the boat to continue watching these beautiful yet strange creatures.

The sirens did not shy away from the sailors' intense gaze, but instead watched them with the same intensity. Unfortunately, a siren's gaze had the power to pull anyone into a trance, and it did not take long before the sailors were entranced. After a moment, the sirens reached out their hands wordlessly, calling the sailors to come closer.

Unlike the previous sailors, these sailors did not stupidly jump into the water but instead took small boats from the side of their ship. They began rowing closer to the mysterious figures to take a closer look at them. The sirens did not stay idle, but also swam closer towards the boats. Once they reached the edge of the small rafts, five sirens surrounded each of the boats.

They leaned in, pulling themselves up to be eye-level with the sailors. Their bare upper bodies, stripped of any covering, were unveiled as the water could no longer conceal them. The sailors' eyes darted to their perfectly sculpted torsos and they couldn't help but gulp.

Amara was one of the many sirens that surrounded one of the rafts. She had beautiful emerald eyes that seemed to shine brighter when the moon hit them.

For the first couple of seconds, everything was still until a beautiful symphonic voice cut through the silence. Amara's voice resounded in the atmosphere, making even the air tremble. It was like it could reach even the deepest and darkest part of someone's heart, bringing out their desires. As time went on, more and more voices began singing, and as their song reached the ears of the sailors, their eyes became unfocused and eventually dazed.

When Amara was sure that the sailor was fully in a trance - without taking her eyes off of him - she gently held the sides of his cheeks and slowly pulled him into the water. Just as she was about to drag him in, she noticed the sailor slowly draw his hand towards a silver dagger hidden behind his clothes.

Realizing what was happening, Amara immediately sensed danger and shrieked loudly, warning the others of the danger. The sailors, who were supposed to be in a trance, were instantly alerted by the sudden sound and broke free from their daze. They shook their heads, ridding themselves of the remaining effects of the sirens' song. Remembering their mission, they quickly took action, each one of them grabbing a weapon hidden under their blankets. The sailors were a little bit shaken. They had underestimated the allure of the sirens, but luckily, they were able to snap back to their senses.

The sirens swam back, letting go of the rafts and creating distance between them and the sailors.

"Don' t let them get away!" One of them yelled.

The sirens bared their fangs and hissed at the sailors before diving deep into the water, where they knew the sailors could not reach. Waves splashed everywhere, soaking the sailors to the bone.

The sailors shot multiple arrows blindly into the water, hoping they would reach their targets, but none did. Not one siren was in sight - all of them seemed to have escaped. Thinking that their plan was unsuccessful, the captain cursed.

"Captain!" One of the sailors suddenly yelled. He tried to keep a tight grip on the net he held, which contained a siren who glared at him with her emerald green eyes. She thrashed around, swinging her slim, long tail, trying to break free from the net. Her nails had extended into claws and her teeth grew into sharp fangs, her whole being had transformed into that of a predator ready to kill.

Seeing that they had succeeded, the captain's mood instantly brightened, and he ordered a couple of his men to help restrain her. They carefully bound her hands, careful to avoid her sharp claws that looked like they could cut them like butter.

He boisterously laughed, "We did it, lads!" He looked at Amara, "We captured a siren."

The sailors erupted into cheers and roars of triumph, and they sailed back to their ship in high spirits, placing Amara into a clear tank big enough to fit two full-grown men. The sailors all gathered in front of her, staring at her with awe, as if she was a rare and exotic creature on display.

All their lives, they had heard tales and myths about sirens, but they never thought they actually existed. So when their boss told them to hunt one down, they thought he was crazy. To track them down, they gathered many rumors of empty ships being found in the middle of the ocean with no one on board. Many townspeople speculated that the ships had been ensnared by sirens that dwelled nearby, luring the sailors to their deaths with their enchanting songs. They set out on this mission with little to no hope of actually seeing or catching a siren, but luck seemed to be on their side.

Amara looked at the sailors and saw that, behind all their fascination, there was not an ounce of sympathy. Only greed and ruthlessness shone in their eyes. Despite her calm exterior, Amara felt a great deal of dread wash over her as she realized the danger she was in.

"Wow, what an interesting thing you've captured, Captain," a voice rang out. A man in a white coat stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I've got to be honest with you, I didn't think you'd capture one, but you've exceeded my expectations."

The sailors naturally parted as the man approached Amara, allowing him to get a closer look at her. She could sense a trace of fear emanating from the sailors as they slightly trembled in front of this man. Amara narrowed her eyes, detecting the scent of blood on him. Her instincts immediately told her that this man - despite his harmless appearance - was the most dangerous one here.

She swam to the corner of the tank, trying to put as much distance between herself and the man as possible. "You scared her, boss," the captain commented, noticing Amara's reaction.

The man chuckled, "Oh dear, we can't have that now, can we? Because we are going to be spending a lot of time together," he said, his voice dripping with a cold and calculating tone.

Amara shuddered at the thought, her heart racing with fear as she realized the fate that awaited her. She knew she had to escape, no matter the cost.
