James POV:

We take the kitten to the shelter and they said they would give him a full inspection and that it would take a few hours.

We walk around some stores and decide to go in one of them. "We should have the guys sit down and then we can play dress up and they can rate them" Natasha smiles.

"OK," Y/n shrugs.

Steve and I sit on the couch in front of the dressing rooms.

"This dress costs more than my rent" Y/n calls, from the room.

She walks out in a puffy short white dress. Tight on the chest with puffy sleeves. "What do you think?" She smiles.

"3/10, you look like a cupcake" I answer.

"4/10, It's cute" Steve nods.

"Hmm, it's ok" She giggles. Natasha walks out in a short black dress.

"2/10, It's too simple." I shrug.

"James you're wearing all black"

"Ask Y/n what she thinks of my outfit" I wink

"HEY! Don't pull me into this" She calls out from the dressing room

"Oh! What happened?" Natasha smirks

"I'll tell you after" She laughs

"Well, I give it an 8/10" Steve nods.

"I can't get the strings!" Y/n calls

"I can't get mine either! Barnes, go help her" Nat demands

"Are you OK with that Y/n?" I ask, before stepping into the room

"Yes, that's fine"

I slightly slide open the curtain, making sure not to expose her.

I see her in a short, sparkly periwinkle dress. "Can you tie the back?" She asks. I nod and tie it in a nice bow.

I slide my hands down to her hips and clench my jaw. I allow my eyes to unfocus and just stare at her through the mirror.

"Do you like this one?"

"Definitely" I mumble

"You're not looking at the dress James"

"I know" I whisper, my lips grazing her ear. I leave the dressing room, leaving her stunned.
