The party was a bliss. I don't think I have had this fun for a long time. The girls left with their moms friend who she introduced me to as Cynthia. My friends left shortly after leaving me with Lisa alone who was no where insight, she was probably cleaning the mess
Lisa was on the phone with someone when I saw her, she was stressed out I can see it in her face. She cut the call shortly after sighing. She saw me and smiled tryin to hide something "are you alright" I asked. She nodded
I moved closer to her "thank you, I have never had this much fun"
She smiled pulling me more closer to her that our bodies were pressed together "that's the least I could do after everything"
I moved away from her looking around "you never told me who owns this cabin"
"Oh I do, inherited it from my grandfather who died two year ago"
You guys are close? She nodded 'oh I'm sorry!'
It's fine, it was a long time ago she says
Okay so how were you able to do all these without my knowledge
Well I found out last two weeks when I mistakenly saw your birth certificate, I didn't mean to look by the way. I googled you and I was able to find out about your friends. I reached them and they helped me" Lisa explains
So technically you have been stalking me for the past two weeks? I says
No, I didn't stalk you, just say I wanted to know you more"
So you have been preparing all these since last two weeks and I didn't even know?
Yeah! But how can you forget your own birthday like that" she says elbowing me. Right cause I never get to celebrate it as a kid so it eventually meant nothing to me.
"So you use the 'let's go out alone card' so I wouldn't ask questions" I stated already knowing the answer
So you wanna have a drink to celebrate you getting old!
What about the girls I asked remembering them
"They are with my friends, they will be sleeping over there"
"So  I have you all to myself tonight? I asked getting excited.
She cocked her eyebrows "well maybe after the drink''  she went over bringing the four bottles of beer in the fridge. We sat on the floor in the sitting room.
"You know you will be really good if you work as an event planner" I started the conversation. She opened the beer drinking a big liquor
I will be good in so many things" she says taking a large liquor once again
Woah be careful so you don't get drunk on me" I says taking notes of how much she really drinking
She laughs finishing the first bottle, opening the other bottle "I never got a chance to drink so much for a long and I'm going to do it tonight" she says
I watched her finish two more bottles, she was about to take the remaining when I stopped her "you will get drunk" she stopped abruptly
Am I a bad mom? She asked looking at her fingers
I was taken aback by her question "what! of course not"
She nodded smiling sadly "You remind me of Nikki" she say
Nikki, your first girlfriend? She nodded staring into space. She was probably thinking if she should continue or not
"It was all my fault" Lisa burst out crying. I pulled her towards me trying to comfort her. I wanted her to trust me enough to tell me when she is ready so I didn't push her.
''Ssshhhh! It's okay" I shushes her. I didn't know what she was blaming herself for but I know that Lisa will never do something to hurt someone especially someone she loves
She was now sobbing quietly and seeing her like this was killing me too "I shouldn't have lied and denied everything, I was little and scared a..and I thought it was the best thing to do at the moment but it wasn't, I messed up" she was opening up to me and it was killing her
I gently cupped her face looking at her teary eyes "it's fine, you don't have to tell me" she nodded "I want to" she replies hiccuping. I knew there was a story behind the walls she built, maybe to protect herself. I knew how hard it is to  open up to someone so I'm going to wait and let her do it. She took a deep breath wiping the tears on her face before she eventually open up to me about Nikki
