Mine

Patty falls asleep on my bed after drinking and talking nonstop about her sex with Ivan. I pick up my phone and send him a text:  

I get up from the chair and walk out of the room. Myra also comes out and holds my hand. "Where are you going? It's late."

"I need some air." I silently say.

"You know Ivan wouldn't do that. She's drunk and spewing nonsense. Do not believe her."

"I need some time alone." I walk away from her and walk out of the hostel. I stand outside, taking in air and keeping my tears from falling. My chest is burning. When I close my eyes, all I see is him and her, together. I feel agitated. It is frustrating to think about.

I stand out in the cold, waiting for him to get here. Minutes later, his car drives in, the headlights reflecting on me. Ivan gets out of the car and I walk towards him furiously.

"What has been going on?" I ask him.

"What?"

"You've been fucking her?" Ivan looks down and sigh. "Ivan?" He raises his head at me, gritting his teeth. Tears fall on my face and I brush it off.

I step aside, hoping he'd go for her and get the fuck out of my life.

"Kara,"

"You will do such a great job without me. You don't need me like you say you do." I walk away to the lounge and take a seat. I bow my head down. What did I expect from him?

Ivan goes to the room and comes out with Patty, keeping her in his arms. I watch him leave with her and I wipe off my tears. I go back to the room and lie down on the bed, taking in deep breaths. Myra puts down her phone and looks at me. "Did you ask him?" I nod my head. "Did he do it?" I nod again and she cusses at him. "What the fuck is going on with him and his stupid brother?"

"They're both monsters. They can go to hell."

My phone beeps seconds later and I pick up my phone.
