I'll love you till the sun shines.

That's the message which is tattooed on Abhimanyu's arm and I am currently staring at it. Well more like he is showing it to me.

"So you mean Shanaya and you wrote one liners for eachother and got it permanently tattooed..?" I ask almost dumbfounded.

He blushes and covers the part of his arm back with his sleeve.
"What does Shanaya's say?" I ask.

A thoughtful look crosses his face as he answers. "Thank you for making all my dreams come true. We got these a little after I proposed to her."

My eyes bug out of their sockets.
"You guys had plans of getting married. Oh My God! OH MY GOD!" I shoot out of the bench in shock.

After the dinner while we were walking back home we came across this empty park illuminated with only the glow of the golden lights on its boundary wall and so when Abhimanyu asked if I wanted to spend some time here I obviously said yes. The whole time we've been here we have been sharing random things with eachother and that's how the topic of Abhimanyu's tattoo came up.

"You guys were planning to get married. But you got stuck with me. One promise that our grandfathers' make and it completely ruins all our plans...all your plans. Shit! I feel so stupid-"

"Saanvi." Abhimanyu tries to cut in. But I go on.

"I can't even imagine what Shanaya must have gone through when she got to know her fiance was getting married to some random girl because of a stupid million years old promise. What the hell-"

"Saanvi!" He snaps cutting off my rambling for good. He grips my shoulder and shakes me. "Calm the hell down."

"It's okay...it's all in the past. You don't have to think about it now. It doesn't matter."

"It does matter Abhimanyu. Whatever happens...even after we divorce eachother in the next six months...you aren't going to be able to immediately marry her. You'll have to wait for atleast a year to get married in order to avoid a scandal. Plus if there is a scandal I'll be thrust into the limelight. We are dealing with dirty waters here." I choke out a sigh, "And that just brings me to my next point. That's why it's more in your favour than mine if we start the divorce proceedings right now. 'Cause then you can get married within the next six-seven months and I don't have any problem in your giving a statement to the media that I am driving this divorce-"

"You know if you are so hell bent on this maybe you should be the one breaking this news to both our parents. Yes?" He pauses briefly and looks directly into my eyes. My skin sets on fire under the scorching anger of his gaze.

I hesitate. Our parents will hate this idea. "Fine."

"Good." He bites out. Why is he so opposed to the idea? It'll obviously benefit him more than me. I am even ready to paint myself as a villian...but the freedom I'll get after breaking off this marriage will be worth it.

We stay quiet for a long moment until he breaks the silence. "I never really planned to propose to her actually. One day she just brought it up randomly and told me we should get married. I said okay and to that she said she wanted to have a grand proposal. She wanted me to call all her friends and everything and do a large scale grand gesture. You'd be surprised but I wasn't. Shanaya has always been that way...upfront about whatever she wants. It's one of the things I like about her." He explains.

" Way to change a topic Abhimanyu" I mumble.

"Did you say something?" He asks. I shake my head no and smile sweetly. He frowns but let's it go.
