Saanvi's POV

13609 kilometres.
Several layovers.
And multiple hours later,
We had finally reached Miami a week ago.

To say I am elated would be an understatement. Everything about right now is perfect. I am with the love of my life, in a picturesque location, not to mention in a great place in my career. There is so much to be grateful for.

Exactly a week ago, after Abhimanyu did the press conference busting all the speculations, the news spread like wildfire. Now mainstream media divided into two. Majority of people and feminists siding in my support. Stating how I am being targeted for absolutely no clear reason. TheSpill, another famous gossip site, condemned CelebTimes for being an noncredible source that takes money and spreads rumours and said in my support that why is it hard to believe that a beautiful women with a stable career and whose family shares a past with the Malhotras is actually in love with Abhimanyu Malhotra and is not using him for his money and just two pictures starring her with Vikrant Mehra don't prove that she is having an affair. Are women not allowed to have make friends or acquaintances after marriage without being judged?

And luckily having the support of such big organizations has helped me get my footing back on track. By now it's also a little old news considering everyone is now obsessing over a famous cricketer's marriage. As easy as it was for us to weasel out of that situation this time, I am aware being part of an influential family means these situations can pop up any second. The only way to get through them is to trust.

Besides I remembered that fortune cookie quote from my first date with Abhimanyu, which said something like "You can't control everything in your life. The only thing you can do is trust."

I steal one last glance at my sleeping husband before pecking him on the cheek and jumping out of bed. I stride towards the attached balcony in our hotel room and open the door taking in the gorgeous scenery the sunrise is making.

Picking my phone from the night stand, I snap a few pictures. Trapping two moments of perfection on my camera roll. One, the soft orange glow that lights up the sky, and second, Abhimanyu. All of him is art.

I momentarily blush thinking of all the places his stubble grazed my body last night. We sure have had a few wild nights on this honeymoon trip.

Putting my phone away, I walk into the bathroom to freshen up. By the time I come out Abhimanyu is standing near bed yawning, his arms outstretched.

"Good morning. Slept well?"

He hums in response before side stepping me to go into the bathroom.

While waiting for him to come out, I pick out an outfit for myself. Since we have been here for the last six days we have visited almost all the best tourist locations. Miami turned out be a underrated haven alright. The beaches are wonderful, so are the museums and the national park.

One of the highlights of the trip was, the Wynwood art street, it makes for some great photo backgrounds and the Coral castle.

The only thing we had put off for our last day was the shopping, so today we'll be hitting the famous Bayside Marketplace.

After Abhimanyu comes out I move around him to step into the bathroom but his hand on my arm stops me. I raise an eyebrow in question.

"Let's save some time." His eyes light up with a glint of mischief. Before I can even understand the meaning behind his words, he lifts me up, carrying me into the bathroom and shuts the door.

The last thing we did was save time. A bath that should have taken barely half an hour turns into an hour and fifteen minutes since each time I tried to get out of the shower, Abhi would distract me with his smooth talking and silly fuckery.
