"Everything looks good Mirae." Professor Chae clicked through her computer, checking for anything that seemed out of place. "Ah this is very good."
"It is?" Mirae perked up, flashing a hopeful look to her dad.
"It is, I'm thinking there is no longer any need for us to meet up every year." She smiled brightly. "Actually you had a very good recovery, we just needed to make sure everything is still in tacked as you received the surgery at a young age."
"So she's fully recovered?" Mr Song asked.
"Well, from what I can see she is. However, I would like to know about your emotional response to things." The professor asked with her fingers laced together on her white desk, behind the piece of glass that had her name on it.
Mirae hummed, unsure of what information the doctor wanted. "Like normal I think, I feel emotions if that's what you're asking."
Professor Chae let out a laugh. "Of course you do, I'm wondering whether you feel that you respond bluntly, are you empathetic? or do you feel that you're easily irritable?"
"Oh - sometimes, for both. But I don't think it's very prominent." Mirae answered, her dad nodding along with her.
"Perfect." Professor Chae typed away at her computer. "How has therapy been?"
"Great!" She lied.
"She stopped going." Her dad revealed as Mirae rolled her eyes.
"I found a new one and I'll be going back soon." She assured. "So there's no need to worry."
"Good, the physical state of your head is great but there is no point fixing all that if you don't take care of it okay. I hope your new therapist can help you with that." Professor Chae smiled. Mirae knew she was right, seeing how she had passed out in the car and had to take half an hour in the bathroom to recollect herself, it had almost become an urgent need. "I think that's it, you're officially dismissed."
"Thank you so much for everything Doctor." Mr Song bowed thankfully, Mirae doing the same.
"Thank you." An appreciative smile glowing on her face. "Ah one last question-"
"Yeah?" The doctor looked up.
Mirae stared at her for a second, reconsidering her question. There was no point caring about other people, she told herself, and that the past shouldn't matter.
"Ah nevermind it's alright, thank you so much Professor."
