Mirae looked at her grade report for the term and has never been more disappointed in the way they looked. She would talk about how grades never mattered but she only said that because her grades were always good, but now she understood why Aera would hide herself away at a bad mark on a test because the only A Mirae saw was in political sciences.
"What's going on Mirae?" Ms Byun asked. "Your report isn't bad but it's not what I'm used to seeing from you, is everything alright? Is it your head again?"
Mirae shook her head. "Everything's fine, maybe I'm just a little stressed with my sisters wedding coming up." She lied. She didn't care about her sister's wedding at all.
"Ah I heard that Minseo would be getting married. I figured something must be happening seeing as you were perfectly fine at the start of the term, better than usual in fact. I didn't expect it to take a turn half way through the term." Ms Byun sighed. "Your math grades are better then they've been all year though, I'm assuming you and Siwoo are back on good terms."
"How much you know concerns me." Mirae laughed as the teacher simply smiled.
"He's an open book, unlike you though. What I do know is that there is more than a wedding going on." Ms Byun raised a brow. "I won't question you further, but whatever it is, it better end."
It better end. The words repeated in her head. Everyday she wished it would, but she still wonders exactly what it is.
"I'll try." Mirae said as the teacher nodded before excusing her.
"It's effecting my grades!! Of all things that could effect my grades, not the being in a car crash explosion trauma, not my friend secretly being obsessed with me, not the whole rebellious thing, but it's the fact that my boyfriend won't even call me!" Mirae ran a hand through her short hair, breathing heavily as the therapist blinks at her.
"Mirae, it's okay, take a deep breath." She said, Mirae did as she was told and leaned back into the green couch. Letting her mind calm down from the speed it was going at. "Have you tried calling him?"
"A few times, and I know as a fact that he is alive because I see him on screen more than I have ever seen him in real life." Mirae went on. "Every time I call he apologizes and says he's busy, which he probably is and I'm just overreacting but I worry you know."
Haneul nodded, writing things down. "I understand your frustration, genuinely. I believe he's going through his 'Shes better off without me' phase." Haneul started. "As an idol, he gets busy and he spends that thinking time worrying about you wasting your time waiting for him. So he begins thinking that you deserve better."
Mirae's breathing slowed. "I didn't think of that."
"Have you tried calling his friends?" Haneul asked.
