"That's fucking insane Mirae." Jaein let out, her mouth falling open after Mirae detailed her entire situation. Somehow, she couldn't stop talking, mentioning every little thing she could.
As Mirae told her the story the more she realised how Jack had basically planned all this from the beginning, and that he probably took every precaution possible to avoid getting in trouble. "I'm sorry all this has happened to you, you're a victim and you shouldn't have to worry about anyone else."
"That would be ideal." Mirae sighed, glad she was able to get it all off of her chest. She did feel bad about dumping everything on Jaein after not seeing her for a year, but she knew it would be a one time thing, and that after this they either end up being great friends or never speaking again. "Thank you for listening, really." Mirae wasn't expecting her problem to be solved, she just wanted to talk to someone who would listen. She knew Aera would judge her thinking and seeing how Meihua had said every insult she could at Jack the moment he woke up, she didn't want to give her another reason to plan his murder.
"No Mirae it's completely okay, you deserve to be heard." Jaein shook her head, placing her hand on hers as she gave Mirae a caring smile. "But now I know why losing his phone messed Jisung up for a bit. Either he was worried about that information getting leaked or losing...you." Mirae had also just realised where and when Jisung had lost his phone, and she could have done so much if someone had just told her.
"Either way, he had every right to be worried." Mirae leaned back, a glimpse of the images of his phone flashed through her mind. He could report the theft to SM and they could handle it, but Jack could easily tell them about Mirae's arson incident a year prior, and she couldn't risk it. In no way would she want them to be involved in anything to do with her life anyways. "There's only really one thing we can do."
"Slit his throat?" Jaein asked, lifting a brow as Mirae chocked in surprise, breaking into short fit of laughter.
"Oh he would been long gone if that was allowed." Mirae shook her head as Yoonbin, who had hired her for their first ever gig, came by to drop off a pottle of fries they had ordered earlier.
"Are we attempting murder? Cause I'd be happy to join." He queried, hugging the tray to his chest.
"The more the merrier." Jaein replied. "Ah Mirae, this is Yoonbin, he's Ten's soulmate."
Mirae's eyes opened in shock. "Oh we definitely know each other...but you never told me you were Ten's soulmate." Mirae nudged the guy on her side as a small smile appeared on her face.
"Well yeah, because it's not something I'm allowed to tell people." Yoonbin pursed his lips, turning to Jaein with a confused look. "Girl, what are you doing? I also just closed the store, why is she still here?"
"You closed? I didn't even notice..." Mirae looked around at the empty boba store, feeling as if it's a little early for it to be closing.
"Well I thought she might as well stay, I think she'd be welcomed." Jaein shrugged as she put a fry in her mouth. She gave Yoonbin a coy smile as his confused look turned to concern.
