"Hey so I figured I should come to you cause I just remembered that you're injured and—"
"Jisung I'm at your front door." Mirae cut him off as she waited for the door to unlatch, revealing her happy soulmate. "Why are you all smiley?"
"Because this may be the last time I smile for a while." He said cheerfully. "She didn't wake up last night so she definitely will this morning."
"Wow you're genuinely worried huh?" Mirae lifted a brow as she walked through the dorm slowly. Her ankle still shot pain through her leg, but it was a lot more bearable today. She greeted Jaemin and Jeno who were busy in the kitchen, Jeno seemingly assisting Jaemin as the two attempted to bake together. It didn't look like it was working, but based on their smiles and laughter, she assumed they were having a good time.
"Oh hey Mirae." Jeno waved with a bright smile on his flour covered face. Jaemin did the same, looking up from their messy kitchen bench. Jeno dusted his hands on his jeans, walking over to Mirae as he placed an arm over her shoulder, smelling of burnt sugar. "Lemme just say a few words." He nodded to Jisung who simply shrugged, taking his phone out as he flopped onto the couch.
"Are you going to question me about yesterday?" She asked Jeno monotonously, already sensing what he was going to say.
"Yeah obviously, what the heck even happened?" He held onto both of her shoulders as she rolled her eyes. She didn't want to tell him anything, knowing that it was safer for him not to know. He, just like Jisung and all the other boys, had busy lives, and they shouldn't have to worry about a sasaeng leeching onto them. She decided to sort out the situation herself. "Look, I'm on your side. But remember what I said about Jisung and Chenle's friendship?"
"Obviously it was an accident, you think I would do that on purpose?" She argued, whisper-yelling as she glanced over Jeno's shoulder to see Jisung curiously looking over at them. He needed Chenle, and ruining their friendship is the last thing she wanted to do. "You don't need to point out what I already know."
"You matter a lot to him, I'm just afraid that he'd put you over Chenle." Jeno said with a sigh, sharing her thought process. "You're a great girl Mirae, I have absolutely nothing against you. I just want everyone to be okay."
"I get you man." She agreed. "Don't worry, I'll do what I can." She nodded, Jeno giving her one last hopeful look before the two dispersed.
She made her way to Jisung, who had sat up with her presence as she slouched down beside him.
"What ever he said, he's wrong." Jisung started, turning to her with surety, desperately trying to convince her that she wasn't at fault. Mirae stared at him, blinking at his worried face.
She cupped his cheeks, making sure his attention was on her. Their eyes meeting, an odd twinkle of concern shining behind his. "Everyone is overreacting. Jeno is right, and this will all turn out fine." She said lowly as Jisung shook his head. "Why is everyone freaking out?"
