I wake up in a rush. My eyes were met with a pair of red ones. "Don't hurt me !" Heeseung gave me a gentle smile. "I don't plan on hurting you at all. Calm down." I had noticed his fangs. My mind was still on high alert. "What about Sunghoon ?" Heeseung looked out the window with an unreadable expression, "성훈이는 제가 처리했어요. 누구도 해칠 수 없어요." (I've dealt with Sunghoon. He can't hurt anyone.)
I seemed to calm down learning nothing was going to happen to me. After getting some food Heeseung introduced me to everyone. "Why were you looking around last night ? Be honest," Jay said knowing I was asleep for far longer than I had thought. I sighed. Was I really going to give them the real reason ? "My family has repeatedly told me to stay away from here. I never understood why they were so overprotective until..."
Jungwon gave me a knowing look, "어젯밤에 성훈 형에게 들키기 전까진요 제가 틀렸나요?"(until Sunghoon hyung had caught you last night. Am I wrong ?) I began taking more notice to the boys in front of me. They clearly weren't human, regardless if I was willing to believe they were supernatural beings. Their chests never showed signs of breathing, their skin was pale & cold, as well they had fangs paired with red eyes. Niki had the power of reading minds, but he usually avoided poking around in the minds of others. "Your suspicions are correct. We are vampires."
"I had been fascinated with the supernatural since I was child. However, I was told to stay away from all interest in it & I wasn't allowed to celebrate Halloween with my friends..." Heeseung sent the others away as he walked me to the front door. "You should go. Your family must be worried." It was odd, but I didn't want to leave. Why was I so drawn to being here ?
Heeseung had walked me to the gate. I smiled slightly seeing the other boys watching from the window. I was nearly through the gate when I grabbed his hand. It was freezing to the touch. He looked shocked by my sudden physical contact. "왜요? 무슨 일 있어요?" (What ? Is something wrong ?) I shook my head, "Can I come back ? I won't be long."
He was most likely confused by my request. Probably thought I was crazy. Heeseung was too confused to answer as I left. As I neared my home, I felt like throwing up. If this to go as I expect, I will need to make them tell me everything. Why was my family the way it was ?
