Sunghoon was a mess when I sat beside him. He really must be in pain from healing me for so long. I gave him a small smile, "Thank you. If you hadn't helped..." He hissed & moved away from me quickly. "내가 당신 목에 송곳니를 쑤셔 넣을까 봐 걱정 안 돼요?" (Aren't you worried I'll sink my fangs into your neck ?) With all that I had just endured, I wasn't scared of Sunghoon.

I wasn't scared of any of them. I was more scared of myself at the moment. I looked at the stake & the clock. "You are the last thing I'd fear. I know you aren't as unhinged as you like to pretend." It was odd. Just a day or two ago I was scared out of mind by Sunghoon. Now, I spoke as if I knew him. I could see his expression soften. 

I was wary, but I knew he wouldn't attack me. "My ancestor was killed for being the very thing you are...I won't blame you for being what you are." My comments were surely confusing him. We made small talk. It kept my mind off of what I almost did to my grandfather. It was nice. Soon enough we had brought the other boys in.

"더 이상 여기 있을 수 없어요. 기분 전환 좀 해야겠어요." (We can't stay here much longer. We need a diversion.) Jake said seemingly healed up. Jay sighed, "What are we to do ?" Morale was low, but wasn't detrimental. I couldn't let my family come here & find us all. We needed something that will easily be believed. I smirked, "What about a fire ?"

I knew this suggestion was extreme. However, we would need extreme in order to escape in one piece. Sunoo perked up unenthusiastically. "질식사할 거예요!" (You'll suffocate !) I knew this was a risk. This needed to be done. "Suffocation is just a risk I'll have to take." Heeseung looked like he was going to refuse my idea when Sunghoon answered. "Make sure you keep your mouth & nose covered. We need you at full strength when the fire is at its fiercest."

It was settled. Our diversion would be a tragic fire...
