"Who are you?"

Nangibabaw ang malalim at mapagbantang boses ni Xavier sa buong lugar. He's asking Pherkad who look so calm while being tied up on a chair with a bright light only aiming at her.

Mabagal lang akong naglalakad papalapit sa kanila. Hula ko ay wala pa silang ideya na nandito ako hanggang sa lumingon sa'kin si Pherkad at ngumisi.

"Why don't you ask your wife instead, Prince Xavier?" she said, her eyes remaining at me. Because of that, Xavier, Xanthal, and Greg turned their gazes on me. I gave them a stare as I'm walking towards their place.

"She's Faye Pherkad Mayer, the Delta, fourth rank of the elites." I said, looking at Xavier.

"Impressive. You know that much now, huh? Why don't you just join us, Clardia? You can be our alpha once Polaris retire."

I glared at Pherkad after what she said. Maya-maya lang ay parang nahirapan siyang huminga. Binaling ko ang aking paningin kay Xavier at nakitang naka-angat ang isa niyang kamay at tila may sinasakal.

"Xavier, stop it." I said and held his arm. He looked at me before finally calming himself and bringing his hand down.

"Clardia, you shouldn't be here. Leave now." he said softly, looking into my eyes.

"No. You need me here. And I will stay."

Napabuntong-hininga na lang siya sa aking sinabi. Alam kong matigas ang ulo ko pero tama rin namang kailangan niya ako rito. Ayokong makasakit siya tulad ng nangyari kanina. Nandito ako para masigurong hindi siya magiging katulad ng mga kalaban. Nananakit at naghihiganti.

"Alright then," he moved me beside him and again threw a cold stare at the woman at our front.

Meanwhile, I looked at him, at his sister, and at his cousin. I don't know but it amazes me seeing all of them are looking serious and fierce right now. Even Greg had this dark aura around him. I'm curious on how can they have such overawing look. 'Yung tipong 'pag nakita mo sila, mapapatahimik ka na lang at mapapaatras. Well, mangha rin naman ako kay Pherkad dahil halata namang walang epekto sa kan'ya ito. She still have this smug look on her face as if she don't care about the sharp gazes she's receiving.

"Sister, give her a little pressure." Xavier said to Xanthal.

Hindi agad ito nakasagot at tumitig lang sa kapatid. "I... I can't use my ability..."

"What? And why so?"

"Because... Because... I have no idea as well. It just... disappeared."

Nangunot ang noo ni Xavier sa sinabi ng kan'yang kapatid. Pati si Greg ay gano'n din ang reaksyon. We all looked at Xanthal but, she just lowered her head instead. So that's the reason why she wasn't using fire to help herself earlier to fought the enemies. I just really wonder on what happend to her that she lose ability to create fire.

Saglit pang nagkaroon ng katahimikan sa pagitan namin bago nagsalita si Greg.

"I will be honoured to do the job instead, Xav." he said.

Then Xavier nodded. Greg had this playful smirk on his face as he showed us a dagger. I squinted my eyes as I have noticed that its end is not pointed. It seems like there's something on it. But before I could ask Greg, he just suddenly disappeared. And when I found him, he was already beside Pherkad holding his dagger near the woman's neck.
