Carly's P.O.V.

Hershel finally took out my stitches. He said that I was able to run around again. I was happy, I don't think I would be able to handle another day, being forced to do absolutely nothing. I went outside to enjoy the sun.

It was late afternoon, and Daryl still hasn't returned. He was usually back by now. I was starting to get really worried. Something could've happened, and I wanted to go look. Although, I already knew that everyone was going to stop me.

"Are you really worried?" Carol asked. I looked at her.

"Yeah, he's usually back by now. He hasn't returned. What if something happened to him?" I said panicking.

"He's Daryl, he'll be fine, he always is." Carol replied. I guess she was right, but I couldn't help but have this feeling in my gut that told me otherwise.

Daryl's P.O.V.

"Why don't ya pull dat arrow out ya dummy? Ye could bind yer wound better." I heard a familiar voice say. I open my eyes and I see my brother... Merle.

"Merle." I said as a small smile crept on my face. He let out a small chuckle.

"What's goin' on 'ere?" He asked.

"Had a shitty day bro..." I said.

"Would ye like me to get ya a pillow?" He asked again. "Maybe rub your feet?" He said taunting me.

"Screw you." I said. He was trying to get on my nerves.

"Your da one dat's screwed by da looks of it. All these years I've tried ta make a man of you. This is what I get? Look at ya. Lying out here in the mud like a used grubbed. You're gonna die out here lil' brother and for what?"

"A girl, they lost a little girl." I said.

"So ye got a think for little girls now?" He said.

"Shut up..."I said.

"You're looking for this little girl, but what I noticed is, you ain't looking for ol' Merle anymore." He said.

"I tried like hells ta find ya." I said.

"Like hell ya did. Ya split man. Went out first chance you get." He said.

"Naw, you let out. All ya had ta do was wait. We came back for ya. Rick and I," I shot back.

"Is this dat same Rick dat handcuffed me ta da roof? Forced me to cut off my own hand are ya his bitch now?" He asked.

"I ain't no bodies bitch." I said.

"Like hell ya aren't. Like ya aren't,that girl of yours?" He asked.

"Carly? She is tough. Can take care of herself." I said.

"Really? That's why ya gave her blood?" Merle asked.

"She would've died." I said.

"You're a joke." Merle shot at me.

"Your nothing but a freak ta them. Redneck trash. Their laughing at ya behind your back, Ya know that. Don't ya?" He asked. "Well I have news for ye son. One day they're gonna scrap ya off the bottom of their shoes, like you're dog shit." Merle added.

"Daryl!" I heard another friendly voice call out. I turn my head a bit and see white blonde hair and these beautiful blue eyes.

"Carly?" I called out.

"You know that isn't true. I care about you. You know that right?" She said. I looked at Merle and then Carly.

"This your girl? She is a good one." Merle said.
