𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝? || ᴿᵃⁿᵇᵒᵒ

𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚎𝚎𝚗

"Excuse me?"

You turn to the voice and see Finn standing on one of the big roots of the magnolia tree. You turn back to Nathan, then realized you were sitting on him. You quickly got up and placed the bread in his lunchbox and shoved it into Nathan's chest. He also got up and dusted his pants.

"Hey, man," Nathan greeted.

"Hello," Finn says back. He looks behind his shoulder, then looks back at us. "Do you mind if I eat with you guys?"

"Of course!"

Finn thanks Nathan and sits down on the base of the tree to eat. Nathan goes back to his swing. As for you, you stand there and stare at Finn. He catches you looking, then you avert your gaze to your shoes.

Finn swallowed the food in his mouth. "You know, you remind me of someone."

You look up then pointed to yourself questioningly. He nodded. You shrugged then went over to your swing and continued your meal.

There was a stretch of uncomfortable silence before Finn broke it again.

"I'm sorry, I can leave if you want," he apologizes, starting to pack up his lunch.

"No, no, you can stay," Nathan reassures him. Finn looks at you.

"You can stay here," you say quietly. 

Finn reluctantly sat back down and sighs. "I didn't mean to intrude on the both of you." He runs his hand through his hair. "Sometimes it's tiring to be famous." He laughs without humor.

[you, dear reader, know they all agree in their different ways]

"But thank you for being letting me eat with you; I was worried I actually had to eat with Kelly with her friends." He shudders and Nathan chuckles.

"Yeah, I would advise to not get too close to that group," Nathan said and you nodded in agreement. "They are really, really, plastic."

"Neil," you hissed.

"What?" He poked your nose. "I speak the truth."

Finn and Nathan share a laugh, and you had to smile. You eventually had to tell your two friends who you really were; Finn with the fact that the both of you go to the same school; and Nathan, who had no idea you were famous at all.

But what you don't know is that Nathan was thinking the exact same thing.
