(Nanami x Reader)

Nanami looked at you in complete admiration. He doesn't show it, but he serves it in a silver platter of his attention and his assistance.

"Do you need help there Y/N? It seems like you're having trouble over there." Nanami asks, usually when you're tired or carrying some heavy burdens.

"Thank you Nanami, you're the best."

He would feel the butterflies in his stomach and his chest would beat itself to death with how much joy he felt. But it would only stay there, waiting to be relieved for a decade or so.

----

"I'm dating Gojo."

His world felt like crashing down, from the definite high of being in love to falling down from a tower of troubles and fears. Like Icarus, falling from the sky, his hopes and dreams burning at the sight of the sun.

It was unfair for his poor heart,  but it was all in his chest.

"O-oh? Is that so? Huh, I didn't know you were into guys like him."

"It was his offer, it was too good to pass up." You laughed as he cracked a smiled, but you didn't notice the suffering he came through just to support you.

But this was his love for you. If you were happy, so was he.

That is, if you were even happy.

----

"I love you Y/N!" Gojo says, nuzzling his head on your shoulder as you laughed and smiled, holding your beer bottle while Nanami and Shoko just stared in annoyance.

But there was an underlying emotion to that annoyance. How he held you was uncomfortable and tight, it made Nanami clench his fists in outrage. The way he spoke into your ear made him frown with disgust. It was all because he wanted to do that to you, him alone.

"I love you too Gojo." You say, feeding Gojo some chips.

"Shut up please? We're in public." Nanami hissed as Gojo grinned.

"Why Nanami, jealous?" Gojo teased as Nanami huffed and placed down his mug of beer.

'Yes.' He would say, but you were in front of him. It would be a total disaster if that happened.

"It's inappropriate." Shoko groaned as you just laughed nervously.

"Yeah babe. You're being so inappropriate." you say in a sarcastic tone before you started to head off, after all Gojo was a light weight and no one wants to deal with a drunk Gojo.

"Have a safe trip Y/N." Nanami wished as you smiled and nodded.

"You too, Nanami."

His heart still flutters when you say his name, regardless which one and regardless in what way.
But he's still yearning for your voice to say it him.

'Please, say it to me.'

Not to that man child, not to your friends, heck not to your parents. Say it to me. Even if it was just once. And I will be satisfied.

-------------

"How could he?!" You screamed, throwing your papers off your table as Nanami tried to hold you back from your anger-driven tantrum.

"How could he?!" You cried as you fell onto the floor, tears in your eyes as he sighed and hugged you tightly in his arms.

"How could he.." You sobbed as he pets your head gently as you cried into his shoulder.

"He's a jerk obviously."

"Where did I go wrong?"

"It's not you, dear. It's him. He was a fool to betray a perfect woman like you." Nanami said as he continues hugging you while you continue crying in his arms.

It infuriated him that Gojo cheated on you, but he blames himself for not telling you any sooner about his associate's attitude with relationships. It was somehow his fault. But now, you're in his arms, not the menace to society who wouldn't hesitate to break your heart a hundred times over.

----

"Kento-san, can I tell you something?" He froze, looking away from his screen and putting his attention to you.

Your face, already blushing at the eye contact made him slightly smirk. Your legs crossed and your hands in between, while you rocked back in forth in nervousness.

"Yes, Y/N? You wanted to tell me something or did you forget it again?" He teased as you blushed even more.

"Thank you so much for being with me for so long. I know that being my friend is really hard and I respect you so much for sticking by my side ever since, even in my hardest times and even when I'm being very difficult." You muttered loudly as he nodded.

"Of course, I wouldn't be called a close friend if I wasn't with you through your trying times." He said, the word 'friend' stinging his chest and throat.

"Well... I was wondering if we could be more than friends?" You blushed, not wanting to confess to easily to just save yourself from embarrassment. He blushed lightly before smiling and huffing.

"Only if you say it."

"Say what?" He inhale, hesitant to confess his never-ending pining for you from day one. His first love at first sight. He was ready to spill his heart out to you, at the same time afraid.

"I've waited 9 years to hear to hear you say those words. Regardless of who you seem me as; a friend, a brother or a lover. My heart has always been yours, and it just wants to hear your voice say it to me." He whispers, closing the space between you  as your stomach felt butterflies flying into you throat.

"Please, say it to me."

------

"Kento-kun, can you please pass the sugar?" You called as he took the jar from the cabinet before passing it to you. He sat by the kitchen, watching your hands stir the batter in the bowl and pouring it into the baking pan. He reaches his hand out to wipe off some flour on your cheek before you just chuckle and kiss his palm.

"Honey, no touching while I'm cooking." You laughed before he puts his finger into the frosting, taking almost a handful and licked it off. Your eyes widened before smacking his shoulder as he laughed.

"That was a good handful. Now I'm convinced that I don't have anymore frosting left for the cake." You laughed as you placed the baking pan into the oven before catching a kiss from him.

"Can you say it to me?"

"Hm? What should I say." He laughed before hugging you.

"You know what I mean. Please, hun?" He asked as you just smiled and kissed his nose before his lips.

"I love you, Kento."
