thirty seven

soobin jumped and danced to the music as daniel watched him with a smile on his face. this was daniels first time ever seeing the younger drunk apart from the drunk texts a week ago and it was the best thing he's ever witnessed.

"baby come here." daniel spoke as he patted his thigh. soobin giggled as he stumbled over to his boyfriend and sat down on his lap, facing him.

"what's up junie?"

"what's your take on jeremy? truthfully."

soobin looked up as he had a think, his hands resting softly on top of the elders shoulders. "i think he's kinda cocky, like you, but he's gonna be my step brother soon so i want to like him and hopefully the dinner with him will go well." he spoke truthfully like daniel wanted, going to stand to get back to dancing when daniel held his waist tightly.

"dinner? what dinner? you're having dinner with that ass?" daniel was shocked and pissed. "oh after the tutoring he asked me out for dinner on my day off so i'll need to ask hongjoong when that'll be." he replied with a smile, getting tired of holding his head up as he let it fall on the elders shoulder.

"you can't go. you can't go to dinner with him." soobin just hummed against his neck, mumbling a "why not?".

there was no way in hell he was gonna start lying to his boyfriend. he was not gonna lie and not tell his boyfriend that his soon to be step brother wanted to play with his life like he was some bunny at a pet store.

"jeremy doesn't want to be friends with you or get along with you. he wants to play with your emotions, make you fall in love for him just to break your heart in the end." he explained, wrapping his arms around the youngers tiny waist and buried his head into his shoulder.

when soobin didn't respond daniel had thought the male had fallen asleep but hearing the other sigh and his breath tickling his neck confirmed that he was still awake.

"junieee it's just one dinner. it's not gonna hurt me and you don't have to lie just because you hate the guy. don't worry, i'll be fineeee." soobin slurred with a giggle, giving daniels cheek a long peck before going to get another can.

daniel sighed. maybe telling a drunk soobin was a bad idea. no one really listens then they're drunk, and daniel knows that very well. but he doesn't even know if sober soobin would believe him.

"what if you come? then you can see it's just a simple dinner. you can sit with us or sit near to just watch." soobin suggested, bumping into the kitchen table and spilling his drink.

daniel walked up to him and took the can from his hands, pinching the youngest cheek when he saw the males pout.

"no more drinking. i don't wanna be the reason why you're an alcoholic." he joked, setting down the can on the table.

"i'd love to come but i'm not lying. kai told me. he even told me jeremy speaks fluent korean. you don't have to believe me but please ask kai for me."

soobin blinked as he look at daniel. though with blurry vision, he could see the worry and seriousness on the elders face and nodded nonetheless.

"o-okay i will. are you okay? you're making it seem like he's dangerous." soobin said as he tried to keep his balance. daniel sighed but nodded, putting on a smile as he grabbed his boyfriends hand.

"everything's okay, don't worry. let's go lie in bed, we can finish the show there."

soobin just pouted some more as he allowed daniel to drag him towards the bedroom, sneakily grabbing the can and chugging it down before he gets caught.

when they got to the bedroom, daniel climbed straight into bed to turn on his ps5. soobin however stayed standing at the door awkwardly. this was his first time sleeping in the same bed with a lover. he's done it countless of times with kai but now it's different.

"soob it's okay. we're just gonna cuddle and watch the show until we sleep, that's all." daniel reassured, patting the spot next to him.

soobin nodded, slowly approaching the bed and climbed under the covers. daniel reached his arm around the younger, pulling him towards him to cuddle him closely.

"this feels so weird." soobin admitted, his heart beating loudly in his chest.

"well get used to it because you're far too warm and soft to ever let go."

sorry i have to end it there i just can't think of anything else to write. gd stupid writers block and also my health messing me up on stories

i have a plan to finish this story but without my laptop it's gonna take awhile but no more waiting months for an update i promise
