Chapter 21

Y/N's POV

When I opened my eyes, I realized I was on top of Loki. I quickly got up and looked at our surroundings.

Loki got up not long after and looked around.

"Where did you bring us ?" I asked.

"I have no idea"

There was nothing around us but sand and rocks. We walked a little bit before we found people. They looked at us with a weird look. They probably had never seen Asgardians before.

Loki was quick to grab my hand and made us both jump on a rock.

"I am Loki of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose" He said intimidatingly.

The people in front of us did not understand what he said. They tried speaking to us, but we also couldn't understand what they were saying.

An orange portal appeared next to us. From it, people in black armour emerged. We walked towards the people in the armour as they tried to take the Tesseract.

"Don't touch that !" Loki told them.

They pointed their weapons at us.

"A standard sequence violation. Branch is growing at a stable rate and slope. Variants identified" The leader of the group said.

"I beg your pardon ?" I asked.

"On behalf of the Time Variance Authority, I hereby arrest you for crimes against the sacred timeline. Hands up. You're coming with us" The leader said with a threatening tone.

"Who's 'us' ?" Loki asked.

"Last chance, variants" She said activating her weapon.

Loki laughed.

"It's been a very long day and I think I've had my fill of Idiots in armoured suits telling us what to do, so this it actually your last chance" Loki said as he walked towards her.

She hit him with her baton which made Loki move in slow motion. She put a choker on Loki's neck.

"What are you doing !?" I said.

"Your turn" She said with a small smile as she tried hitting me with her baton.

I caught it before it could hit me, but one of her associates hit me from behind. I was in slow motion too and I couldn't move. She put a choker around my neck.

Loki and I went back to our normal speed, and we both fell on the ground. The agents grabbed us and shoved us trough a portal.

On the other side of the portal was the inside of an office building. The leader held the Tesseract in her hands.

"What is this place ?" Loki asked before he tried running away. He grabbed my hand and tried escaping.

Suddenly we were back next to the agent. We tried escaping three more time, but all our attempts ended with us appearing right next to the agent.

The agent grabbed our arms and dragged us towards the office. She gave the receptionist the Tesseract and dragged us somewhere else.

"Could you at least tell me what it is ?" The receptionist asked.

"It's the Tesseract" Loki said.

"Be very careful with it" I said.

"Sounds dumb" I looked at the receptionist shocked. He was holding one of the most powerful weapons in the universe and acted like it was nothing.

The leader pushed us in a room and closed the door. In front of us, a weird robot looked at us.

"We need to get out of here" I sighed.
