Chapter 32

Y/N's POV

We made it to an underground bunker. We went inside. It was messy, but it was better than the danger outside.

We all sat down as boastful Loki began telling stories.

"After I vanquished Captain America and Iron Man, I claimed my prize, all six infinity stones"

The alligator growled.

"That's alligator for liar" Old Loki translated.

"Well at least my nexus event wasn't eating the wrong neighbour's cat"

The alligator ran towards boastful Loki and bit him.

"Tell them your story Loki" Kid Loki told the older Loki, as everyone calmed down.

"Me ? Nobody wants to hear about that"

"I would" I said.

"Me too, actually. I mean, we're supposed to die. Thanos kills Y/N and I after Ragnarok" Loki added.

"In my timeline, everything proceeded correctly my entire life, until Thanos attacked our ship" The older Loki began.

"So you didn't try to stab him ?" Loki asked.

"Certainly not. I casted a projection so real of myself, even the mad titan believed it. But he wasn't the only one. After I faked my death, Y/N did what was fated to happen. She tried attacking Thanos, which resulted in her death. When the ship exploded I drifted in space and I found Y/N's body. That's when I realized she was carrying a child. I should have told her about my plan. I didn't know she would attack. I don't believe she knew about the child, but it's my fault they died. As I was left alone with my thoughts, it occurred to me that everywhere I went, only pain followed. So I removed myself from the equation, landed on a remote planet and stayed there in isolation, in solitude for a long, long time"

I looked down. I couldn't believe it. Mobius didn't mention anything about a child when we looked at the future.

"How did the TVA find you ?" Loki asked.

"I got lonely. To tell you the truth, I missed my brother, and I wondered if he missed me, if anybody else did. But as soon as I took my first step to getting off the planet, the TVA arrived. Because we, my friends have but one part to play, the God of Outcasts, nothing more" The Lokis stayed silent.

"We're going" Loki said, taking my hand and helping me get up.

"Going where ?" The older Loki asked as they all got up.

"Out of this place, out if the Void, anywhere else" Loki said.

"No. We're going back to the TVA" I said, thinking of Sylvie.

Loki sighed and we made our way to the entrance.

"You won't you'll be brutally murdered. That's why I'm not letting you take her" The older Loki said as he used magic to keep me stuck in place.

"I'm not letting her die again, she's the only variant of Y/N here. The TVA is after Lokis not after Y/Ns. I don't care what she does, but she's not going out there to get herself killed" He explained as I tried moving.

"Well, if you're looking for a variant Y/N..." Boastful Loki started.

"No ! Don't even mention her. She may look like Y/N but she's evil. That Loki poisoned her mind" The older Loki said.

Loki tried to help me get to the entrance. He picked me up and helped me up the stairs.

Before the Lokis could react, Loki opened the bunker's door. When we looked outside, we were surrounded by... Lokis and a single Y/N.

They leaned in to look at us.

"Oh, hello" One of the Lokis said.

"This is a nightmare" Loki said.

We went back inside the bunker and I was able to move again. The other Lokis stood in front of us.

Their leader was a Loki who looked exactly like my Loki. He was wearing shorter horns and a black suit. He wore a pin that said 'vote Loki' as if he were running for president.

Next to him was a Y/N who looked exactly like me. She wore an expensive looking green dress and a fur coat. She also had a Loki election pin. She must be the 'evil' Y/N the Lokis were talking about.

"You bastard ! You led the wolves to our door" The older Loki told my Loki.

"We prefer snakes to wolves" President Loki said.

"I've eaten both. They die just the same" Kid Loki said.

Boastful Loki put his hammer to Kid Loki's neck.

"Apologies my liege, I betrayed you, and now I'm king" He said.

"About that..." The other Y/N said as the henchmen pointed their weapons at our group.

"What did you expect ?" President Loki said.

"That wasn't the bargain ! I gave you our location, in exchange for shelter and supplies, you give me your army and I take the throne" Boastful Loki said.

"It obviously wasn't true, you oaf. That deal is too good to be true" The other Y/N said.

"How about this, my army, my throne ?" President Loki said.

"About that" One of the henchmen said as they pointed their weapons at the other Y/N and president Loki.

"Why you idiots !" The other Y/N yelled.

"We had a deal !" President Loki added, still screaming.

"Why the hell is there an alligator in here !?" President Loki asked.

"He's a Loki" We all said.

The alligator jumped on President Loki and began bitting his hand. He managed to get the alligator off him, but his hand was missing and his wrist was bleeding.

He screamed.

As everyone began fighting, the older Loki used his powers to project an illusion of our group, except boastful Loki, fighting.

The older Loki created a portal and we ran to the other side of it. We were back outside.

"Damn it ! Animals ! We lie, we cut the throat of almost every person who trusts us and for what ? Power, glorious power. Glorious purpose. We're broken, every version of us, forever" Said the older Loki.

"And whenever one of us dares try to fix themselves, they're sent here to die" Kid Loki added.

"That's why we need to get out of here. Nothing can change until the TVA is stopped. Sylvie, a variant Loki, has a plan to destroy the TVA and we must help her" I said.

"You trust her ?" The older Loki asked me.

"I have to. She's our only chance of stopping the TVA" I said.

"That's good enough for me" Said Kid Loki.

"Okay, we'll help. But approaching Alioth is a death sentence. We'll get you to it, but that's as far as we go" Old Loki said.

"It's good enough for me" I said with a smile.
