Weekend Home

Henry was up with Leia most of the night, talking to her, changing her diapers, and feeding her bottle so his parents can get the rest they needed. Emma wakes up a little early to pump for Leia and sees Hope sleeping hugging Killian and smiles. She pumps a few bottles for her daughter and goes downstairs to put them in the refrigerator. She passes the living room finding Henry passed out on the couch with Leia sleeping on top of him. She was in awe, Henry was up all night with his baby sister and took a picture. "You are an amazing big brother Henry. Leia loves you." She kisses her son on the head and goes back up to her bedroom, Hope was awake. "Hope, why are you awake?"
"Want you here."
Emma lies next to Hope. "I am staying with you, Hope." She hugs her daughter. "My little duckling."
"Where Leia and Henwy?"
"They are sleeping. You need to go back to sleep."
"Sowwy."
"For what?"
"Going to Henwy school not wif you."
Emma hugs her daughter. "It was kind of my fault too because I was sleeping when Ava told me. Next time, you can tell me to go see Henry and we can go together."
"Yes! Girl twip!"
Hope hugs her Mommy making Emma chuckle. "Now, we have to go back night-night."
"Stay, Mommy."
"I am staying here with you, baby girl."
"Sowwy making you scawed."
"I am not mad at you, sweetie. I am so happy you are home."
"Happy home wif you, Mommy."
Emma smiles. "I am so happy to be with you, Hope. My little duckling." Hope hugs her Mommy and falls back to sleep. "I love you so much, Hope." She kisses Hope on the head.
Killian wakes up a few hours later, letting Emma and Hope sleep in. He goes downstairs finding Henry holding Leia talking to her. "Hi, son. How was Leia?"
"She did keep me up most of the night. Leia and I did have our one on one time." Leia coo. "Yes, you are happy that your big bro is home."
"How about we go to Rabbit Hole in the evening with just the two of us?"
"Does that mean drinking?"
"Aye, it is about time, I teach you how to drink the right way, how to drink responsibly."
"After Hope went missing and drove here, I do need a drink."
"We are going to have a boys' night." Leia wakes up moving around on her brother.
"Hi, baby sis." He kisses Leia on the head. "Did you hear me talking to our Daddy?" Leia moves around. "Yes, you heard us talking."
"Hi, littlest pirate." Leia grabs her Daddy's hook.
"Leia, you are going to do your first art project with me and Hope today." He kisses her on the head.
"Lad, I am going to make us a pot of coffee."
"We all need coffee." Leia coos. "You do not need coffee, baby sis." He kisses Leia on the head. Killian makes coffee for himself, Henry, and his swan. Leia began crying. "Do you want Mommy, baby sis?" He takes her upstairs, to their Mom, who was awake and Hope sleeping next to her "Mom, Leia wants her Mommy."
"Give her to me, kid." He hands over his baby sister to their Mom and joins them on the bed. "Hi, Leia." She puts her newborn daughter on her chest and kissed her on the head. She stops crying. "Did you have one-on-one time with your big brother?" Leia moves around. "Yes, you did."
"She reminds me of Hope at this age."
Emma smiles."She certainly does but I can tell her personality is different from Hope."
Hope wakes up seeing her brother. "Henwy!" Hope jumps into her brother's arms making him smile.
"Hi, Hope. We are going to do art today."
"Leia too?"
"Yes,Leia is joining in her first art project with us, today."
"Yay!" She faces her sister. "Leia, we are going to do art today!"
"Leia, you are going to do art today with your big brother and big sister." Leia fusses. "You are hungry sweetie?"
"Mom, dad is making breakfast downstairs."
"I smell the coffee."
"Want coffee."
"How about we have cinnamon hot cocoa."
"Yes!!"
They went downstairs, Emma was carrying Leia smelling breakfast. "Leia, your Dada is making breakfast." Leia began crying when they entered the kitchen. "Henry, her bottle is in the fridge. Can you heat it up?"
"Yes, Mom." Henry heats the bottle.
"Mommy, Leia sit next to me." Emma sits next to Hope. "Baby sis, don't cwy." Hope pats her sister's head.
"She just wants her milk, little sis." Henry gives the bottle to their Mom, who bottle-fed Leia who stopped crying.
"See, Hope, she was just hungry, that is all. She is happy now getting her milk."
"Luv seeing her happy. Don't like her sad."
"She is happy when she is being held, by me, your Dad, you and Henry, and Auntie Allison."
"Want hold her."
"After breakfast, sweetie."
"Speaking of breakfast." Killian puts Hope's plate of cut-up pancakes and scrambled eggs. "It is time for you to eat, Hope."
"Thank you, Dada!"
"You are welcome, little pirate." He kisses Hope on the cheek.
After breakfast, Emma and Henry set up the canvas in the backyard, for family splatter painting. Emma had Leia in her arms. "Leia, you are going to have much fun in your first art with your big brother and sister." She chews on her Mommy's finger and looks up at her Mommy. "You are happy to look at Mommy." She kisses her daughter on the head. "You are so cute, my rainbow duckling." Henry and Hope began painting the canvas.
"Let's put paint on Leia." Henry puts pink paint on Leia's foot, who began wailing.
"Leia, paint is fun, baby sis! Don't cwy." Leia cries more.
"The paint will come off baby girl. I know you do not like it."
"Swan, I can clean Leia's foot. Come to Dada, littlest love." He takes his upset daughter into his arms. "Do not cry, Dada will clean your foot." He takes her inside the house. "Leia, I do not like paint too." He washes her foot off. "There you go, littlest pirate princess. You are all clean." Leia stopped crying.
Hope began crying. Henry faces his sister. "Hope, why are you crying?"
"Leia.. not art wif us."
"That is okay. When you were that small, you love painting with me and Mommy."
"Weally?"
"Yes, baby girl." Emma shows photos of Hope so little getting her face painted by her brother smiling, Emma and Henry's first splatter painting fun. "You were around Leia's age."
Hope smiles."Wow! Me!"
"You were such a cute baby who loves paint, sweetie." She hugs her daughter. "You still love paint."
"That is how I knew you were going to love art, just like me, little sis. Art can be our one on one time, Mom can join us."'
"Sad want Leia to join us."
"We can still have fun, little sis. If not, we do not have to do art."
"You are home, want art wif you and Mommy, bro."
Henry smiles at his sister."We can do art, little sis."
Emma hugs her daughter. "We are going to have fun, baby girl. It is just us and Henry." She picks up a paintbrush and splatters paint on her son.
"Mom!" Hope laughs and copies her Mommy and throws paint at her. "Oh no." Henry knows the trouble he is in. He gets two paintbrushes and throws paint at his Mom and sister, who was running away. "You cannot get me, Henwy!"
"Oh yeah?!" Henry chases his sister around the backyard, throwing paint at her. "I am going to get you." Hope was laughing. He scooped Hope into his arms and spun her around. "Now, we have to get Mom covered in paint."
"Yes!!" They got paint colors, pink and purple on paintbrushes, and threw paint on their mom, who was laughing. She has not had so much fun in a long time. Emma smiles having fun with her children.
Killian was taking videos and photos while holding Leia in her carrier. "See, littlest love, you do not need to paint. You can stay with me while the rest of our family are getting covered in paint." Leia fusses. "We can have Dada and Leia time." He took her to the living room to do tummy time on her mat. "It is tummy time, littlest pirate princess." He sets her lying down on her tummy and lies down facing his daughter. "Dada is here." Leia coos. "Once upon a time, Dada was steering the Jolly Roger in Neverland..."
After chasing their Mom, they were all covered with pain. They finished all the paint on the canvas. She was exhausted, her son and daughter were still at it. "You two are still painting?"
"Yes, we are, Mom. Hope and I still at painting." Emma took many photos of her children having fun, a few slides of her with Hope, and a few selfies with Henry, and both of her children. "Henry, are we done?"
"Yes, Mom. We need to hang this on the tree to dry."
"No more art?"
"We can do another art project for H&H time."
"Yay!"
Henry hangs the artwork on the tree. Emma went to the hose and turns it on, "Henry, Hope, you both need to get cleaned off." Hope goes to her Mommy, Emma sprayed her daughter who was laughing. She wrapped Hope in a towel. "You need to get dry. You will need to get a bath and new outfit."
"Water counts?"
"This is to not have paint all over the house." She kisses Hope on her cheek.
"Mom, it is your turn." Henry sprayed his Mom, who was not in covered too much paint as he and Hope were. She covered herself in a towel and sprayed her son until most of the paint went off of him.
"Now, we all can dry off."
"Henwy. Sit wif me on hammock."
"Can I join too?"
"Yes, Mommy!" Emma and Henry joined Hope on the hammock. "Bro, have fun?"
"Yes, I did Hope. You are still my art assistant."
"Help your homework?"
"Yes, you can." Hope hugs her brother.
Emma takes a picture of her son and daughter. "My two H's are so sweet."
"Hope is happy that I am home. After she came to Boston to visit me."
"I missed you bro."
"I am home little sis. Next time, you need to bring Mommy to Boston."
"Yes, Mommy come. Girl twip."
Killian carrying Leia, leading Regina outside. "Henry!"
"Mom!" Henry hugs his other Mom.
"You are all wet."
"Well, Mom, Hope, and I did splatter painting."
"I am not surprised. I heard Hope was home."
"Ina, visited bro in Boston with Ava. Henwy home too."
"I know Henry is home, now."
"Ina, want Asian-Fusion restaurant here."
Regina was impressed. "I never had Asian-Fusion."
"Henwy took me and Ava dere last night."
"He did!" She looks at her son.
"I did. Now, Hope wants an Asian Fusion restaurant in town."
"Yes, Ina!! We need one in town!!"
Emma and Killian laugh, Hope was being bossy to the evil Queen. Leia fusses, Killian hands over Leia to Emma who was dry. She puts Leia on her chest. "You are with Mommy." She hugs her daughter who stopped crying.
"Did you run away to see Henry?"
"No, not runaway. Ava and I woad twip to see Henwy! Henwy runaway to bwing Mommy here. Dats diffewent, Ina." Emma smiles, Hope was telling Regina off.
Henry smiles proudly at his little sister. "You are right, Hope. You know Mommy's story."
"Yes, you tell me and Mommy does. Ina need Asian fusion."
"I will think where to add it in town, Hope. Emma, are you going to give her magic lessons? I can teach her?"
"No, ina, bad magic."
"It is dark magic, I have."
"No, ina. Still bad magic. Mommy teach me light magic, good magic."
Regina gives Hope a look and looks at Emma. "Wow, you really are the mini miss swan on your hands."
"Yes, I am." Everyone laughs.
"I will call you mini swan from now on."
Leia fusses. "Mommy, can I hold Leia?"
"Yes, you can." Henry helps Hope back into the hammock. Emma laid Leia in her arms, helping Hope holding her head. Leia moved her arms touching her sister's face. Henry takes a picture of his two sisters. "She knows you, Hope."
"She does. She listens to me. I talk to her and she stops crying."
"That is being a great big sister to our baby sis, Hope."
A few hours later, Hope and Leia were both taking naps in their bedrooms. "Swan, I have our two little loves." He hugs his swan.
"I know you need a break too."
"I know our son is home to see his Mom. He needs his one-on-one time with his Mom. I am going to take Henry out this evening for a boys' night."
Emma smiles. "What are you two going to do?"
"Bar night."
"Sounds like a fun boy's night."
"Swan, have fun with our son." They kiss.
Emma lets Henry drive her yellow bug into town. He parked in front of Granny's. They went into the diner to their booth.
"Mom, are you okay?"
"Yes, kid. I am just tired. Having a newborn in the house again is exhausting but I love your baby sister."
"I love Leia. I can tell she has your stubbornness but she has Dad's personality. Hope takes after you, Mom. I love my sisters equally."
Emma smiles. "You are right, kid."
Granny brings their orders, grilled cheese with onion rings, a cheeseburger with fries, and two cinnamon hot cocoas. "How is Leia?"
"She is good. She is home with Killian and Hope, who loves holding her baby sister."
"I heard she went to Boston with Ava.
"She did."
"She came to visit me. I came home with them late last night."
"I am happy that you are home, Henry. Emma, if you and Killian need a break, I can watch the girls for you."
"I appreciate the offer. I will call you when we need a break." Granny heads to another table.
"Mom, I have to tell you about school."
"Tell me what have you been up too." She bites into grilled cheese.
"Well, my friends and I go to Starbucks every morning before class. There is a group of us, Jackson, Jason, who Hope met last night, Erica, Matt, and I. We have the same classes together. Erica and Jason, are a couple. They are always together."
"Speaking of couples. How are you and Ava doing?"
"We are doing good. We alk all the time. She really felt bad taking Hope from school when you were sleeping."
"Once, I knew Hope was safe with you and Ava, I was so relieved that she was with you two."
"I was kind of surprised Hope and Ava were at my door. Ava and Hope love the city. I do have to tell you something?"
"What is it?"
"I am adding to my major."
"What are you adding to your major? Is it in the same school?"
"Yes, I am majoring in studio art but I am majoring in teaching."
"Teaching? A teacher?"
"Yes, I want to be an art teacher. I figure artist jobs are hard to get a full-time job as an artist in a studio. I want to have my own art studio in Storybrooke but I want to open up an art school like, in the same building as my studio but a room for teaching."
Emma smiles big and proudly at her son who has a job he wants to do and teach. "Henry, my son wants to be an art teacher."
"Yes."
"I am going you achieve your dream. I know you are going to be a great art teacher because you are a great teacher to Hope."
"That is how I thought about teaching since I love working on projects with Hope."
"She was so little when you started your H&H time art."
"I also told my other Mom about it when you were with Leia. She will help me open my business."
"She is the mayor."
"Yes, but I am going to need your help and Dad's."
"We will help you, kid. I am so happy you have a job you want to do. You have a plan." They continue to talk. Emma missed her son so much but is happy he is enjoying college life in Boston and hearing her son's goals after college.
When Emma and Henry returned home, they heard Leia crying. She enters the living room, seeing Leia wailing in Killian's arms. "Dada, Mommy is home. Leia, Mommy home."
"Killian?"
"Swan, she has been crying nonstop for the past hour. I fed her, changed her diaper, try the swing, nothing is calming her down."
"She did not want her binky, Mommy."
Emma hugs her daughter. "Your sister probably tired, sweetie. She is going to be okay." She faces her husband, who looked exhausted. "Killian, I got our littlest pirate princess." She takes her upset daughter and puts Leia on her chest. "Littlest duckling, Mommy is home, Leia. Shh..shh..." She slowly bounced her up and down, which Leia stopped crying. "You just wanted your Mommy." She kissed her daughter on the head and sat down on the couch. "Mommy is staying home with you and Hope."
Hope joined the on the couch. "Here is your binky, Leia." She gave her sister the pacifier.
"Thank you, Hope."
"You welcome. Leia stopped crying."
"She just wants me to hold her." Hope hugs her Mommy. "You can jug me too, sweetie. I have my two ducklings hugging me." She kisses Hope on the head.
"Dad, do you want to go to the bar?"
"Aye,son. It is about time, I teach you how to drink probably."
"Make sure you both eat something before drinking, I do not want you two to have hangovers."
"Yes, Mom."
"Do not worry, swan. We will not be drunk."
"Good. Hope, Leia and I are going to have our girl time." They kiss. Henry and Killian leave.
"Movie?"
"We can watch a movie, sweetie." Emma sets up Disney+ and puts on The Little Mermaid. Hope was hugging her Mommy as Leia was fast asleep on her Mommy.
Killian took Henry to The Rabbit Hole. The bartender gave the two men bottles of beer and rum with appetizers. "You got fruity alcoholic drinks, beer, IPA beer, vodka, and my favorite rum." They take a sip of their rum glasses.
"You and Mom always like rum. It is okay."
"Aye, maybe you like beer."
Henry tries IPA, which Killian takes a picture of on his iPhone. Henry smiles. "I like it."
"Atta boy!" He puts his son on the back. He was proud to be the one teaching his son how to drink, at the bar. As Emma was enjoying her quiet evening at home with her two daughters. Emma smiles she is having girl time with her two little ducklings.
